UE codes galore
on April 8, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 80% of wash cycles result in UE code. The washer is 2 years old. Enough said! Poor design and poor investment.

To the Landfill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG wt1101cw has been the absolute worst washer I have owned. The UE errors (which still happen constantly) will drive one insane. Babysitting loads of clothes for hours so the washer does not fill back up over and over is absurd. Ours will be going to the land fill at 1 1/2 years old, as we are fed up with it. We will be buying a different brand after reading and investigating an alternative.

Clothes sensor does not work
on March 23, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am beyond exasperated with this machine. It does not adjust the water regardless of load size. Only a couple of inches of water are in the tub and it's usually barely visible through the clothes. If the lid is raised during "add clothes" the washer fills to the very top, even if no clothes were added. So the only water levels I can get are practically empty and totally full. I'll never buy another LG washer. It's only three years old but I've limped along with it long enough and am now going to buy a different washer, not one that "senses" water needs.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Miserable machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine worked fine for 3 years and then started generating an "out of balance" code. We came to learn that this is a ongoing problem with this machine and that it cannot be fixed. Customer beware on this machine... it is a miserable example of an electronic washer. Even buying the warranty as we did won't get you relief. Our first experience with LG products is a lesson to avoid them entirely.

Expected a better washer and am disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my washing machine for about 1-1/2 years now and am disappointed with it. My towels are no longer soft and fluffy, but stiff with I think is excess detergent. I only use HE detergent and ALWAYS use a second rinse to be sure to get the detergent rinsed out, to no avail. There is no way to adjust the water amount and have noticed that there is NOT enough water when washing items. The clothes barely circulate.
I have warned my friends about this and if possible to purchase the older style washers similar to what they are replacing....don't go for "newer better versions" that have gotten so popular.
Pros: Style/Design

Terrible Terrible Purchase
on February 10, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this washer about three years ago after reviewing a number washers. We loved the large capacity - as we do ALOT of laundry with three boys. But soon to discover that the washer is hyper sensitive and keeps refilling the tub to "balance" the tub. I can't even fathom how much water we've wasted...some loads have filled and refilled at least 2-3 times! It seems when I fill the washer to capacity, it doesn't become unbalanced, but once I put a smaller load in - there is the "UE' error and the gallons of wasted water. I wish we could just turn off whatever is making it need to refill multiple times. So we finally had enough - and are going to get a new washer - that is NOT made by LG. We probably could have purchased a new washer or two - with all the money we spent on refilling the washer. Not efficient at all.

Junk!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this machine less than 3 years ago. If you had asked me a month ago how I felt about it, I would have given it 5 stars. But then the dreaded UE code started to appear multiple times in every wash load. It even appeared when the tub was empty in a Tub Clean cycle! How can the load be UnEven when there is no load? I have googled this problem and found out it is quite common and difficult/expensive to fix. It takes HOURS to complete one load. Sometimes I just give up and hand wring the wet clothes (the UE always appears during the rinse/spin cycle) and put them in the dryer. I have also shut off the power and restarted the machine in the Spin Only cycle. Don't know how much longer I can handle this before buying a new one. Not happy with LG.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
