Awful Machine
on February 15, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second one of the same model. First one quit working after a month. This one never gets clothes clean, always says uneven load and takes hours to do a load of laundry. Bought this machine because of Consumer Reports Review, but now see that many consumers having the same issues! They will happily send someone out for a cost!

Definitely NOT a high efficiency washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer in Feb. 2014 and have to say that it is the worst washer I've ever had. I am extremely disappointed in it, and will never buy another LG washer. The UE error is ridiculous. I am constantly having to babysit my washer to make sure it's not refilling to try to redistribute the load (I bought a HIGH EFFICIENCY washer to SAVE water, not use more of it). I think it would be more efficient for me to go down to the river and scrub my clothes on a washboard. I always make sure my load is distributed correctly when I start it. I always wash like items together. I watch to make sure a load is not too large or too small, and about 2/3 of the time it becomes "unbalanced" and the load takes 2 hours to wash AND it uses a TON of water. How is this efficient??? Looking online, it appears that I'm not alone. There are tons of comments about this UE error. LG...If you want to keep customers, you need to fix this obviously poorly designed washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer leaking inside and on floor. Poor quality. It was over the one year warranty period so I could get no service help.

Horrible sensors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The balancing sensors on this thing are junk which will constantly mean that every load you do will become unbalanced. Once it is unbalanced any sense of efficiency is removed as it will constantly refill with water and double the length of the wash.

2 repairs in 2 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this washer for a little over 2 years and I have already had to repair it twice. The first was for the pump that pumps the water out of the washer. Luckily that one came within the warranty period. Now the washer won't stop filling without me turning off the water at the source. Now I have to get it repaired again and this time I will have to pay for it. Oh and one last thing...two repair calls later, no one works on LGs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is always off balance. Our water bill has gone up a ton since it refills to get itself off balance. Each load takes about three hours by the time it is done:(

Worst washer I ever owned
on February 1, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has never worked properly from day one. The spin cycle stops and starts , filling with water over and over again and never finishing the load. Eventually it just stops. I have had it "repaired" 4 times with new control panels, with the same results it doesn't work.I think the problem is in the smart drum being too sensitive and thinking it's out of balance when it's not. At any rate I doubt it will ever work right and I am buying a new washer as soon as possible. Never another LG product for sure!

This will Help if you have Unbalanced errors
on January 31, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK , I had the same unbalanced load error problem that develop after one year of not having issues with my LG washer. For the last month it took me over 3 hours to do a load because of unbalanced load issues. I then googled this and realized how many more people had the same issues and I asked why I bought this washer with so many problems reported. So I reread the owners manual and decided to level the washer as instructed in the manual from side to side and front and back. I then watched a tutorial on LG's website on how to load the washer and another on how the machine operates, thus I was able to understand loading the machine with heavy things first was so important. They also had tips on zippering your pant up and other ideas to help the machine do its job. I then pushed my washer up tight to the wall and put the dryer right next to it so it created a tight fit.. I then proceeded to do six loads
and have had no issue with the unbalanced load error coming up. I hope this may eliminate a service call for other people and now I am once again a fan of my LG washer.
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, easy to use
