Waste of Money, Time, and Energy
on January 12, 2016

This washing machine belongs to the owner of the house we are house-sitting for and I cannot wait until our 23 months are finally up so that we can be finally freed of this burden of a "washer."
I am fed-up with its unreliability. A normal wash load countdown display shows 57 minutes starting out, which I believe is too long to begin with. And, that number is actually inaccurate as the countdown doesn't really start until after it shimmies for a bit to decide how much water it needs to use to fill the tub, and fills it. It is then unusual that the washer will complete in the time that is displayed once it has started ticking. No matter how careful we are to place heavier garments on the bottom (no more than 1/3 of the way up, mind you) and lighter on the top and try to evenly distribute linens around the basin of the washer, it will inevitably get unbalanced at least once, but generally multiple times.
It has a "feature" that will try to unbalance the load itself before giving up and finally coming to a standstill until someone comes and addresses the issue, but this process takes far too long and there is no way to know that it is happening until after they come to check on the load. Because it stops and starts frequently as part of the "energy saving" technique, simply listening to the sounds it makes does not help to determine if this is happening. A person has to walk up to the machine to see that it is unbalanced. This is especially frustrating for us as our washer hookups are downstairs away from where we spend most of our day.
It also has a large sticker on the outside lid indicating that shoes, and waterproof clothes or linens should never be placed in the washer. This means that I have to take shower curtains and mattress pads, and the like, to the laundromat. What a waste of my time and money!
I don't appreciate that I am unable to put laundry detergent in the bottom and start the water to avoid detergent stains on my clothes. Before the water can start, the washer has to first lock itself and then, as I mentioned above, has to sense the weight of the load before it will then fill with water. I also don't like how deep the basin is. I am 5'4 and it is difficult for me to reach the last layer of clothes lying on the bottom.
Do not waste your money on this machine! I am so looking forward to having a traditional, reliable top loader with an agitator again.

Belongs in junkyard

We purchased our washer about 2 1/2 years ago. It has been a nightmare ever since. The washer constantly says ue which means the load is uneven. When this happens the washer stops the cycle and you have to take everything out (usually soaking wet) then try to rearrange it so it is better balanced this only corrects it sometimes. It usually takes days before I can get one load to go through a fill cycle. Since the clothes sit in water for days without going through a full cycle they usually smell like mildew when the load finally goes all the way through the cycle... Disgusting!!! This is the worst washer I have ever owned I would not even give this washer away for free because I wouldn't want someone else to have to deal with the problems this washer has. It belongs in a junkyard.

The Little Washer That Couldn't Balance
on January 3, 2016

I've had this washer for, oh, say 4 years. I hate it. Actually, when it works properly, I like it just fine. No complaints about clothes not being clean, or "OH MY GOD THERE'S NOT ENOUGH WATER" as some say. No. This little bugger doesn't ever balance. It's like a made up word that has no meaning. Big loads, small loads, medium sized loads, blankets, sheets, sweat pants, it doesn't matter. Oh, you want to know some specific examples, do you?
One time it had stopped trying to balance the load and was just sitting there. This is the part where they tell you to balance it yourself. I literally did nothing. Opened the top, shut the top, and hit start. Fly flatulance didn't disrupt the load. And it spun the entire cycle perfectly. ????
How about it doesn't even stay "balanced" when it's empty. That's fudgecracker right folks. I can't even run a dangnabbit cleaning cycle on an empty washer without it going "unbalanced" and never ever completing. Gonna need to go calm down.
Anyways. Thing's a pile of junk. Don't buy it.

Bought the washer in June 2013. By November 2015 the shaft from the transmission to the agitator broke. The repair was more than the washer was worth. Good thing I buy the extended warranty because washers are not built like they used to.
Pros: easy to use
