I hate my LG washer!

I regret buying this washing machine so much i could cry! And this is why ..
1. You can't adjust the water level which is never enough for any of the loads. My clothes always come out with big patches of dry spots, which is unacceptable, because it's like they're not even being washed!
2. God forbid you miss a stain on your clothes and don't pretreat it! A stain will never come out in a regular wash cycle. I've had to rewash numerous pieces of clothing due to this and I use Tide Pods with stain remover in the detergent!
3. Don't expect to get the dryer to get your wrinkles out...This washers spin cycle is ridiculous! It doesn't matter if you change the spin cycle to low your clothes are still going to be twisted like a pretzel. I literally have to iron everything!
I wish I could take this washer back, that's how much I hate it! please don't make the same mistake!

The worst washing machine I've ever owned!

It never stays in balance. Even running in cleaning mode with NO CLOTHES in it, it will become unbalanced. We've tried every fix we can find (balancing the machine, washing like clothes, using less detergent) to no avail.

The Little Washer That Couldn't Balance
on January 3, 2016

I've had this washer for, oh, say 4 years. I hate it. Actually, when it works properly, I like it just fine. No complaints about clothes not being clean, or "OH MY GOD THERE'S NOT ENOUGH WATER" as some say. No. This little bugger doesn't ever balance. It's like a made up word that has no meaning. Big loads, small loads, medium sized loads, blankets, sheets, sweat pants, it doesn't matter. Oh, you want to know some specific examples, do you?
One time it had stopped trying to balance the load and was just sitting there. This is the part where they tell you to balance it yourself. I literally did nothing. Opened the top, shut the top, and hit start. Fly flatulance didn't disrupt the load. And it spun the entire cycle perfectly. ????
How about it doesn't even stay "balanced" when it's empty. That's fudgecracker right folks. I can't even run a dangnabbit cleaning cycle on an empty washer without it going "unbalanced" and never ever completing. Gonna need to go calm down.
Anyways. Thing's a pile of junk. Don't buy it.

Belongs in junkyard

We purchased our washer about 2 1/2 years ago. It has been a nightmare ever since. The washer constantly says ue which means the load is uneven. When this happens the washer stops the cycle and you have to take everything out (usually soaking wet) then try to rearrange it so it is better balanced this only corrects it sometimes. It usually takes days before I can get one load to go through a fill cycle. Since the clothes sit in water for days without going through a full cycle they usually smell like mildew when the load finally goes all the way through the cycle... Disgusting!!! This is the worst washer I have ever owned I would not even give this washer away for free because I wouldn't want someone else to have to deal with the problems this washer has. It belongs in a junkyard.

Would Not Recommend

Beware - if you are only buying this machine in order to wash an occasional king comforter, then you should buy a smaller machine. I have gotten the "uE" error message (out of balance load) several times in addition to the "UE" message. When I get the UE message, about the only thing that seems to work is to turn the machine off and put it on spin to finish the load off. I have found that even though I have all these different cycles, the only one that I am able to use is Speed Wash. Apparently, unless you are running a very large load, only the Speed Wash works. I am very disappointed in this machine. As bad as it is, the accompanying dryer, DLE1101W is far worse.

Ongoing Off Balance issues
on December 2, 2013

I am getting tired of redistributing my laundry. I am careful about what I put in there but should you really have to calculate the size and weight of your items and distribute them equally in order to do laundry. Does it make sense to have to wash loads with all bath towels, or all twin size sheets??? The balancing issues need to be fixed.

I absolutely regret purchasing this washer.

There are several reasons why I regret purchasing this washer.
I was not told that I could not wash matress pads, tennis shoes, rainwear or anything that is waterproof in the machine. Thanks to my new LG washer, I now have to take all of these items to the washateria.
I also have to take some of my blankets depending on the material they are constructed of to the washateria. The machine does not seem to be able to deem these items as being a balanced load and will take hours to wash and rewash them all in the name of automatically balancing the load.
The machine is advertised as a high efficiency machine that saves water. This is true with small and perfectly balanced loads. However, perfectly balanced loads are not the norm. If the machine determines that the load is unbalanced it will keep adding water to the top of the drum and attempt to rebalance the load. If I am not watching the machine carefully while it is washing, it will do this frequently.
This is a disaster because I live in an area where all homes must have septic tanks. A washing machine that frequently repeatedly fills and refills the drum to the top with water on a single load can cause major problems to a septic system. Prior to purchasing this machine I controlled the amount of water added to my septic system each day by washing no more than three loads of clothes per day. Thanks to my new LG washer, I now have to babysit each load to be sure it does not overload my septic tank by repeatedly filling the machine to the top of the drum with water so that it can balance each load.
It seems that most major manufacturers including LG determined that eliminating the agitator would allow the consumer to load much more clothing into the machine resulting a major savings in time and money. This great engineering improvement has resulted in the exact opposite impact on the consumer, i.e. more time required to monitor your washing machine and more water consumption.
One of the features of this machine is a very deep drum. This is fine for a tall person. I am a petite 5'2" woman. I now have to use long tongs to retrieve my laundry from the bottom my washing machine.
I gave this machine two stars because it does thoroughly wash and rinse what it perceives as a balanced load. My clothes seem fresher and cleaner. I could love this machine if I could wash my waterproof items in it and not have to monitor it while it washed my clothes.
