It doesn't wash properly

I found this machine at home that I moved in, but it is a disaster. It doesn't clean, and even on small load I get out clothes not washed properly, and Most of the times they are not wet, but have dried patches. Disappointed
Pros: easy to use

Looked at a lot of washers before deciding to buy this one. Very large compared to the others. Ease of use with the controls, built well and very quite. Like the design as well.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Beat Expectations

We cannot believe how great this machine is. Since we're in our 70's it was a bit unnerving seeing that the new machines have no agitator and having read some of the reviews we had our trepidations. READ the manual, especially the part where you put heavy stuff on the bottom and try to balance the load; the machine will automatically balance it but it helps to assist this wonderful feauture. The first 2 loads led us to believe that not enough water was in the tub, so I re-read the manual and that's normal. Love it-whites actually are coming out whiter, even removing a few of the marks our old machine didn't. QUIET performance. Since the the clothes are spun dry at a higher speed they come out dryer and require half the drying time(of course saving energy). When we dried our first to loads at the normal 45-50 minutes they came out the dryer HOT and dry. So be warned-either set your dryer for half what you previously did time or turn on the temp sensing auto shutoff. This is obviously a good thing since we use half the power!

Worst washer I ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has never worked properly from day one. The spin cycle stops and starts , filling with water over and over again and never finishing the load. Eventually it just stops. I have had it "repaired" 4 times with new control panels, with the same results it doesn't work.I think the problem is in the smart drum being too sensitive and thinking it's out of balance when it's not. At any rate I doubt it will ever work right and I am buying a new washer as soon as possible. Never another LG product for sure!

Horrible sensors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The balancing sensors on this thing are junk which will constantly mean that every load you do will become unbalanced. Once it is unbalanced any sense of efficiency is removed as it will constantly refill with water and double the length of the wash.

Definitely NOT a high efficiency washer
on February 12, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer in Feb. 2014 and have to say that it is the worst washer I've ever had. I am extremely disappointed in it, and will never buy another LG washer. The UE error is ridiculous. I am constantly having to babysit my washer to make sure it's not refilling to try to redistribute the load (I bought a HIGH EFFICIENCY washer to SAVE water, not use more of it). I think it would be more efficient for me to go down to the river and scrub my clothes on a washboard. I always make sure my load is distributed correctly when I start it. I always wash like items together. I watch to make sure a load is not too large or too small, and about 2/3 of the time it becomes "unbalanced" and the load takes 2 hours to wash AND it uses a TON of water. How is this efficient??? Looking online, it appears that I'm not alone. There are tons of comments about this UE error. LG...If you want to keep customers, you need to fix this obviously poorly designed washer.

Awful Machine
on February 15, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second one of the same model. First one quit working after a month. This one never gets clothes clean, always says uneven load and takes hours to do a load of laundry. Bought this machine because of Consumer Reports Review, but now see that many consumers having the same issues! They will happily send someone out for a cost!

Excellent washing machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with top loader. Several friends have had front loaders that burn out. This was recommended by sales person. He said front loaders hang on a bearing and they burn out. This machine cleans as well or better than any machine I had in the past
