Do not buy

This washer constantly gives me a code of UE in EVERY wash no matter how large or small the load is. It has caused my water bill to sky rocket because it goes through at least 3 wash cycles before it is complete.
Pros: Style/Design

Wouldn't buy again

I don't like that a load takes so long, usually an hour or more and all it seems to do is twist and turn with numerous pauses. I also want an option to add more water. We've always been told not to overload a washer because the clothes need room to move around freely. This washer barely covers the clothes and they mostly just rub together. I now just wash everything in the "bulky" mode so I can have more water. It is definitely not energy efficient when I have to use a high water cycle and run an hour of electricity.

Piece of Junk

I can not get my clothes clean. If I add more detergent, does not rinse out. So I add more water, load becomes unbalanced (no signal that the load is unbalanced).
So I back up and add two rinse cycles, takes 1:47 to wash a load. It is a good thing all my kids are grown or I would never get my laundry done.
Pros: easy to use

Bad engineering operation design.

LG please send my regards to the people involved on designing this machine. High efficiency!!!! That is more like very poor efficiency. First of all worst buy I’ve ever done Waste of my hard earned money waste of my time having to babysit the dang machine waste of water when it goes off balance this is a very non reliable machine that all it does is agitate for a bit then spin clockwise then counterclockwise is just very frustrating and disappointing. I know this is a discontinued Model but, I hope you’ve learn from all the bad reviews and have done something about it. One thing for sure is that this is the first time I bought an LG product and the last I’m so mad that I’m not interested in giving you another try.

Large capacity/new design

I've been using this machine for about a month now. I read some reviews before I bought this machine concerning top loaders and was hesitant because so many said they don't clean as well. I haven't noticed that but in fairness we don't have really soiled clothing. I do have a dog that sheds alot and when I clean the dryer vent there is a lot more dog hair so that makes me wonder. Overall I love the efficiency of the machine, the sleek design and as others have mentioned when the spin cycle is on high you can cut your dryer time. To those short people like me...I'm 5'2" and have to get on my tiptoes to get the wet clothes out of the bottom of the machine but because the tubs so big - I do less loads :)
Pros: easy to use

Can't use multi special features at the same time.

The machine leads you to beleive that you can use multiple specical use options at the same time. You can only use one. If you want to soak, you can't use the fabric softener selection or, the rinse & spin. Also if you add the fabric softener, it gets added to the wash at the same time as the detergent. That's not "normal" for a washer to add it in the beginning of a wash cycle.
Pros: none

Attractive, glass lid, quiet, front controls

Having purchased over a thousand coin-op washers and dryers, this is the first electronic controlled washer purchased. Will it be reliable? Time will tell. Mechanical timers cannot offer the many cycles this machine has. Since transmissions cause expensive problems, this direct drive motor might be a good thing. This motor is larger than normal. The perforations in the tub are small, might retain larger debris. Long reach to bottom of tub. Washer taller than normal to have large capacity. Soap And softener dispenser, nice
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, good ratings, cleans

Over all I'm very happy with this product

I've only had this product a few weeks so I'm still in a learning curve. I really like the touch control panel and the see thru top. I'm not happy that it has a slight slant toward the front. I fold my clothes on the washer and dryer and like it flat instead. Also I often set laundry products( Shout etc.) on it for a short time. I don't like them sliding forward. I have had problems with twisting if I wash anything else with sheets. The off balance is very sensitive. Most times it rights itself but I have had to pause it once to move things around. (My last washer NEVER went off balance in 15 years). Clothes come out clean without too much water retention. It is VERY quiet. All in all I'm very happy with it.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings
