unhappy, considering returning machine

Regarding the front panel buttons and options: It is unnessarily complicated. There is a power button and a seperate start/pause button. I frequently hit the power button when I mean to hit the pause button. In which case, I have to re-power it, and go through all the options to re-select the type of load I have and the settings. There is no one button to select the type of load. Instead, you have to hit "select" over and over until your load type is high-lighted. There is no way to save your settings either. I like to use liquid fabric softener in most every load. However, for each load I wash, I have to tell it that I am using the softener in a seperate selection process. Also, I almost always have to tell it to spin the clothes on high rather than medium.
Regarding the actual functionality of the washer: It does not seem to spin the clothes fully, even with the spin settings on high. My clothes come out very heavy still with water and I end up having to dry them longer. So the High Efficiency on the front end does not make up for the super long dry times on the back end. In addition, the tray in which the detergent and fabric softener goes feels flimsy and I fear that it will break early in the washer's life.
On a positive note, if the washer gets unbalanced, it seems to be able to balance itself out in my absence.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't wash many items
on May 5, 2015

Things I can't wash with my 'washing machine'
Swimsuits, activewear
mattress protectors
cloth diapers
picnic blanket
there is alot more but too tired to remember...
Overall, the washing machine functions OK but with an infant I can't wash the mattress pads...really??? So I am supposed to buy a washing machine and then go to the laundromat once a week to wash my other stuff.
Would not recommend.

Just had my first repair, 6 years after purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reliable! Great washer, large capacity, great variety of cycles. Electronics are very helpful - when we had our first problem in 6 years, the repairman was able to diagnose it from the error message and fixed it in a half hour. We also own an identical large LG washer bought for a rental property, which has NEVER broken down in 7 years.

Really like the features of this washer!

I really like this washer a bunch, it is really cool. My clothes have never been cleaner. I don't have to do laundry as often thanks to the extra large tub. It is so very quiet, even when it is spinning. I like all of the settings, the style & design too! The melody that it plays at the end of the cycle is cool too. One good machine!

Love all the bells and whistles!

I am enjoying washing clothes just hear the music at the end! Seriously, it is a good washer for the price. Has more features than the average household needs. My only complaint it doesn't allow you to add more water and I am not sure it would really clean really dirty clothes well enough. Aside from that it is a keeper!

Interseting design/quality workmanship

We were trying to decide between a front and top loader and given our narrow laundry room, we choose this top loader. We love the glass top because this is the only washer we have actually enjoyed watching it work, and we have even invited our friends to enjoy the show. The little tune it plays when finished is also a hoot.

Nice Washer, But
on June 17, 2013

We ordered this washer and its companion gas dryer based on the great reviews. When the appliances arrived a month ago, the washer had a very large dent in the top center front of the machine, with no corresponding damage to the box. We contacted the seller, and the machine was returned. A month later the replacement arrived, with a perfect box but yet another dent at the top right front corner. My wife refused to go another month without a machine, so we've kept this one. While the machine works great, two damaged washers in a row make me feel that there is little regard for the customer from this manufacturer. And as an extra, the gas line from the dryer had smashed threads, necessitating repair before it could be hooked up. I'll recommend the machine based on its performance, but with a buyer beware.

Excellently designed and very much user friendly

I have used this for last 3 months. So far my experiance is very much satisfying. Extremely low noise when it runs. Feels almost like it is not running. Uses reasonable water and good at performance.
The front panel can be improved a little bit to have a nice cadence of the keys so user go from one step to the other even more easily.
Top lid is little bit speedy while closing automatically. Although it hasn't ever hit the surface, i am always scared.
