Good job, LG.

This washer seems to have it all. Good features, good value, quiet function. One month in and I still really like it. The glass lid is nicety you never knew you wanted. It spins very fast so your clothes will come out drier than other washers because most of the water has been dispelled. And yet it feels so balanced. Some top-notch engineering must have gone into this product.
If I were to offer some criticism it would be to find a way to speed up the load balancing portion of the cycle. It does take about a minute sometimes even when you follow the instructions on how to place laundry in the machine. And if there were a way to turn the selection sounds down a bit (not off totally), that would be nice. It's almost too piercing sometimes.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would be a 5 if clothes didn't wrinkle

This machine works beautifully. For most of the negatives we read about before buying it, we have not had any of the same problems except one. This washer definitely wrinkles clothes more than a standard washer, especially jeans. There are tons of positives though such as larger loads which means less loads. We have not had the load balancing problem that some people have reported. Overall, it is a great machine and was an awesome value.

Very happy

Very happy with this washer. I like the countdown of time remaining and all the choices available. I would like end chime louder to hear from another room. A short person may have trouble removing clothes from tub.

great dryer

We bought this dryer and matching washer. We like them both very much. Like the front, electronic controls, easy to use cycles, excellent drying time, sturdy construction, etc. Both run very quiet with varied settings to handle most any type of clothing. Seems like high quality for the price.

Constant UE Error Frustrating
on May 31, 2015

This product worked fine for about a year. Then the UE or unbalanced load error made washing a hassle. Each load now has this problem, often multiple times. It means you must redistribute the load by hand and then hope it will finish washing and spin to the end. But, most times that is not the case and the load must be adjusted again, and again by hand. Others have reported this problem. As others have noted, we also chose this washing machine based in large part on a Consumer Reports recommendation that it turns out in our case was just wrong. We also liked the LG brand for its product reliability but that is also now in question with this experience.
Pros: avoid

Excellent Washer

Once you get past the new technology (meaning less water) you'll see that this washer does a excellent job of cleaning your clothes. It has several features that allows you to customize your wash and the machine is very quiet. Take a few minutes to read the user guide and you will see just how easy it is to use the machine (WT1101CW). I highly recommend this washer.

Affordable and Quiet
on May 28, 2015

As our household has shrunk and we no longer have kids at home, we did not need a washer with a huge capacity. This washer seemed to fit our needs. The one thing we were really amazed to find out is that it operates very quietly. One drawback is the deep tub that can be hard to reach but it works great.

Recommend with hesitancy and reservations.

Main issue I have is it doesn't clean as well as needed for clothes that are actually dirty. This was the entire reason I bought a new washing machine. Despite adding extra Advanced Power Bleach AlternativeTide, applying it liberally directly on soiled areas, using heavy soil cycle and related options, mud still remained on the clothes AFTER washing even though only a couple of items were washed in the load.
Also, some cycles seem unexpectedly hard on fabrics which caused shrinkage. This was also compounded by matching dryer that seems to run hotter than expected.
Machine is not designed for shorter people. I'm 5'3" and can barely reach the bottom of the machine to get the clothes out if I reach from the side of the machine on tip toes as high as I can.
Warning label on top of machine says "Be sure to earth the washer to avoid electric shock." What is meaning of "earth" in this sentence? Ground?
Best part of the new machine is the pleasant tone at the end of the cycle, but it's not enough to compensate for the aggravation of having to wash clothes multiple times to get them clean which also negates any claimed benefits of high efficiency, water savings and cost savings. I should have bought an inexpensive old style agitator washing machine that would have gotten the clothes clean and taken half the time and probably used the same amount of water and power in one cycle instead of over several cycles and with less aggravation. I'm disappointed in my choice.
I bought this in mid-April 2015. I am seriously considering getting rid of it and replacing with agitator type washing machine.
