Love, Love this Machine

This is a great washing machine! This machine has plenty of choices to clean your clothes. This machine spins so well that your clothes dry very fast and of course this will save you money. Large enough and uses a small amount of water. Don't hesitate to buy this machine.

After 28 years I had to replace my agitator washing machine. Having had a great experience with LG products I found this machine and can't believe all I've missed. There was a learning curve; wasn't sure how it could wash the clothes without an agitator, but it did. The automatic water sensor is amazing. My old machine had a water level but even the lowest level was sometimes too much water for small loads. This machine has more washing cycles than I ever saw. I love washing clothes. And the water bill is lower too. My laundry room is on the upper level and I no longer feel any vibration or noise from the machine. It is so quiet!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, quiet

Hands down, better than my old washer

Finally dove in and did away with a 10 year old old school agitator style washer and started researching my options. I was hesitant to buy a front loader due to negative reviews of odors, so I researched the top loaders and found this model to be highly rated in numerous consumer websites. I have owned this washer for 1 month and have put it through every cycle and washed everything, and I mean everything in my house. I have washed delicates, pillows, quilts, stuffed animals, and everything else I normally would wash. Although this washer takes a little longer than my old washer to get through a load of laundry, my overall laundry time has been reduces by about 25%. I can load this thing to the top with clothes (about 2 loads worth in my old washer) and it takes the same amount of time to dry. 7 towels, 10 wash clothes, and numerous tshirts take about 1:45 to wash, but only take 1 hour to dry, and they come out brighter and cleaner than they ever have before. Normally this would have taken 2 loads worth to wash and dry and my dry time was 80 minutes each load. The spin cycle is absolutely amazing in getting the water out. The only draw back is when washing small loads, say a couple delicates. No matter how small the load, it takes about an hour to wash and spin out. But still, my overall laundry time is slashed, and my clothes are cleaner and smell fresher. I have nothing but positive reviews about this washer. It is super quiet and extremely efficient with water and energy. I have read reviews about clothes coming unbalanced, but I have not experienced this at all when washing normal clothes. When washing comforters, pillows, etc. I have had it come out of balance, but a simple shuffling of the items and its good to go. This is no different than my old washer. Think about it, washing pillows or bulky items always creates a problem with top loaders, but if you want them washed, you have to babysit them a little. The only other negative comment I have is from my vertically challenged wife who has a hard time reaching the bottom of the drum. Solution, a step stool! So overall I would have to say I am one happy LG owner. This baby saves me time, allows me to wash things I never would have been able to at home, cleans better, and saves me electricity and water.

This washer can't wash small loads

I'm so disappointed in this LG washer. I like to wash my black dress pants by themselves and I can't without having to clear the UV error quite a few times. If you want to wash a few items this washer is not for you. I wish I could bring it back. You have to always clear the error and move your clothes around and hope it starts again. I tell everyone not to purchase this washer, nothing but trouble.
Pros: Style/Design

Good with a few caveats

I've had the washer a couple months now, it has a lot of good features and for basic washing works great.
I have noticed that with heavy stains including blood stains, even with pretreating and using the heavy duty setting, the washer doesn't get the stains out as well as a standard agitator-type washer. For basic washes, the clothes come out smelling fresher and drier than the standard washer I had previously.
Also be forewarned that the cycle times are drastically increased over a standard washer, but this is partially negated by the huge capacity of the washer. I can typically do the equivalent of two loads from my old washer with one in the WT1101CW.
The washer has a bunch of different useful features. One strange omission is the lack of the "Water Plus" feature that is available on the lower WT1001CW. This adds more water to the load to make sure that the top clothes are submerged better than the standard setting. I haven't had any problems as long as you use the Extra Rinse feature on the cycle, but this also adds even more time to the already-long cycle.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings

Love this washer

It took me over a month to decide to purchase this washer, I was skeptical at first, not your typical washer--I'm old school; however, I am glad I did, I love it. The huge deep tub allows me to wash my bulky blankets and my grandsons blue jeans. No more small, medium or large loads selection the washer determines the water level, just put your clothes, detergent, softener in and it's a go. My Tips: 1) Full loads wash better, 2) wash similar weight clothes together to keep the washer balanced (important to remember) and 3) adjust the legs to level. Great washer!

What a great product, love the way the clothes come out almost dry. The size of the tub is great can get so much in one load without overloading, very quiet and the diversity of the cycles is very nice.
