I wish I could buy this again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer and the matching washer in early 2013. It's now summer 2022 and I'm starting to look for an upgrade. That's nearly a decade of this pair living on my farm, washing grimy, stinky, muddy clothes AND suffering through sweaty horse blankets and dog bedding. This dryer has never taken a misstep and never required any repairs. I'm looking for a replacement now- not because it stop working- but because of a bad chemical smell that I inadvertently caused. I more than got my money's worth, but I'm SO disappointed to see that they don't make sets like this anymore. I LOVED the front controls (reaching over the top is difficult with short arms and a very bad neck), but these days it seems I can't get a matching set of front controls with a top load washer- a MUST for soaking the grimy farm gear. Also, if I'm looking for anything high capacity I have to spend an absurd money for a "smart" washer/dryer set. Those horse blankets need their soaking time and they need room to move! This set gets five stars from me, but I'm incredibly disappointed to find that I won't be able to get what I'm looking for with LG.

Reliable, but expensive to repair

I have had my dryer for quite some time now. It has worked well until recently. It would not shut off and the main board had to be replaced. It was a costly repair and it broke down just out of the warranty. Unfortunately, there was no authorized LG service repair in my area so I had to trust a local repair company. Other than this, it has been a reliable product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this and it match when we moved into our new house. Both my wife and I are industry workers so there is a lot of laundry all the time. This dryer is a heaven-sent with big loads.

Dependable dryer

Does exactly what a dryer should do. We've had it for over 10 years and have not had a single problem with it. Can handle very large loads. The freshen up option is great for when you can't get to folding your clothes right away.
