I've had this for almost a year and it has been trouble free. I am a senior citizen who is not tech savvvy, so I called for help to set it up. The support person was very patient and helpful.
Bought this unit 11/15/2015 took it home and installed it, replacing a Netgear wnda3100v2. First 3 days no loss of internet like I was experiencing with Netgear then something happened. The N600 started losing internet connection. Went from Windows 7 to 10 before all this took place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Con III,

Is this happening on both wired and wireless connections? If it is, make sure that you have a stable connection behind the modem. In case it is only affecting the wireless connection, adjusting the wireless channel usually helps as your devices might've been experiencing wireless interference. The Linksys is small and compact. It is incredibly easy to set up, and best of all, it has guest WiFi so your personal information is kept safe.

I bought the E2500 Linksys wi fi router about a year and a half ago and it does the job. We have a 3000 sq ft house and we piggy back on the other side of the house and it works great.
I had an older version of Linksys wireless router. It is more than 10 yrs old and I thought it is time to upgrade since the newer ones come with better protection but it working flawlessly. I thought I would get the same bullet proof quality with the E2500/N600 router. But it was very slow most of the time and quit on me just after 31 days. May be it was one bad out of many and others might have better luck than me. I took it back to the store and have exchanged it for another Linksys model #EA6350/16635. It is too early to comment on the newer one because it has been with me for just less than 2 weeks. But so far no problem.

I bought this router to be used as a bridge. I configured it as suggested. There was a significant loss of speed, but I could have lived with it. After a while, the speed was slower than before (3MB on a 30MB connection). I bypassed the router and went directly to my desktop. This solved the issue. The router is not a viable solution as a bridge.

I was having problems with virus pop-ups on an unsecured wireless and purchased this system. Easy to install, and once done, no more pop-ups! My computer virus program wasn't picking anything up, but since new wireless was installed I have not had a problem. Good enough for me.
