I bought it several months ago; the first one I purchased lasted only about eight months and suddenly stopped working. Thus far, I have had no problems with this one and it has performed well.
Not happy with the speed. It drags it down from 60 to 30 half of what I should be running. lked to the cable company and and tried tests direct from modem and the spped was fine. When I went back thru the router it cut it way down again..
We bought this router a while back when our old one died. Most of the time there is only one computer hooked into wifi and two phones. The computer sits less than 10' from the router, yet it regularly loses connection. We never had this issue with our last router.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Skibum,
We value the time you spent in providing us a product feedback. We strongly recommend you reconfigure your router and adjust its wireless channel to resolve this matter. You can also do a firmware upgrade if its current firmware is not updated yet. I bought this as an upgrade to my previous router, also a Linksys. Someone set up the first one for me so this was the first time I had done the setup process, turned out to be very easy! Very good directions and didn't take very long at all to get it up and working. I did have to get a range booster but that isn't the fault of the router but my home, it's all metal.
i do appreciate the replacement router sent for my initial purchased router. one comment, about the staff evaluating the router status. The power plug was defective and I noted that to the technician. they should have I believe, checked the power lights on the router with all cables in place to easily determine the internet port was also affected. hope this helps your team. Possible power surge.
I bought this several months ago and all I had to do to install the router was connect the Ethernet cable to my DSL Modem and my PC. Windows 7 recognized the router immediately.
