My go to camera for street photography

I bought this camera almost a year ago specifically for street photography. Before this, I was lugging a Canon DSLR around the city. This camera is small and silent, and doesn’t draw attention on the streets... oh, and the image quality is SUPERB! Probably even better than some entry level DSLRs with a kit lens.
I’ve started packing this along with my DSLR when I go shooting landscapes, and I’m surprised at how well it performs. If you’re a landscape photographer, it’s not going to replace your DSLR by any means, but it’s definitely worth keeping in your pocket or bag.
Overall, this little camera is a versatile beast.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stuck shutter problem

I bought this camera 2 years ago. Love it for travel/vacation. Recently the shutter sticks and has to be manually pushed to open. Sony wants $400 to repair - this does not make sense to pay 50% of the camera cost to fix a stuck shutter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used for both photo and video - my only complaint is the hinges that hold the screen on, they have both come undone buy easy to repair myself

Heavy, Solid Pocket Camera

camera takes beautiful pictures and video. you can tell the difference with the one inch sensor. a down side of the camera is the stereo microphone quality, the sound is tinny sounding, cheap microphone. my cell phone video microphone sounds better than this. That's why i gave it a 4 star. Other than that i love the camera.
