Very satisfied with my LG unit. Extremely quiet. Eco friendly due to using latent heat to dry contents instead of an exposed heating element. This feature allows you to load tupperware-like pieces on the bottom rack. Installation was a quick and easy effort. Highly recommend this unit.

The machine is nice and easy to operate however some of my dishes are not coming out very clean even after rinsing before going into the machine. I have sent some dishes thru 2 wash cycles and still they are not coming clean. The dishes didn't have a lot of food on them before hand so I'm surprised they didn't get clean.
The top rack takes a little getting use to as it is contoured and the dishes tip if you don't get them in right. My old dishwasher the top rack was flat and a lot easier to load, somthing I didn't noticed or take into consideration before buying.
It is very quite and I like the little chime it makes when its done, but i'm disappointed in the ability to clean. I've tried different setting and different soaps. I even turned up the hot water heat thinking that might be the problem. Finally called the repair guy since it was under warranty (only have had the washer for 2 months) and all they said was use a different soap. So that didn't help. I'll try another soap and if I'm still having problems I'm calling the store and asking them to replace it.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best about this dishwasher is its quietness. It does a decent job cleaning dishes, and we especially like the fact that the plastic utensil holder accommodates chopsticks. However, the machine has flaws:
1) It takes a looooong time to wash;
2) Can't cancel the drying before starting the machine;
3) Digital buttons are unreliable. Pushing the buttons does not guarantee a response;
4) The detergent dispenser cup is too small. It is a constant battle pushing a Cascade Dawn Action drop into the cup.

BEST Dishwasher EVER

I have been searching for a new dishwasher for over a year. This LG dishwasher had all the features that I was looking for and more. I have had the dishwasher for almost two months and I LOVE IT! It is super quiet, It is no longer a annoyance to run the dishwasher due to the noise. I love that the upper rack can be adjusted and all the tines can be folded down on both levels for large or odd shaped items. The racks are made very well, it has thicker covering than most models. It has a garbage disposal so the food is chopped and drained away. My last washer just filtered and the food particles would get redeposited on the dishes. I no longer have this problem with this dishwasher. It doesn't have a heating element which leaves some water on plastic but it has an extended dryer option which eliminates that problem. Some may not like that but no more burnt items in the bottom of the dishwasher! One interesting feature, it plays a song when the dishes are done. My teenager thinks that is so cool. This dishwasher is comparable to those that are twice as expensive so it's easier on the wallet, too!

This dishwasher is great, gets the job done right, and is pretty darn quiet. The only feature I wish it had, which I thought was pretty much standard across all dishwashers, is a "cycle complete" led indicator.
We have a habit of rinsing all food off of dishes in the sink before loading in the dishwasher for a more sanitary cleaning. So when we open the dishwasher, it's sometimes hard to tell if the cycle has run or not. I know it plays a chime when finished, but it would be nice to have an LED indicator that remains lit when the cycle is completed and perhaps turns off when the door is first opened after the cycle is complete.
Other than the completed cycle LED indicator feature than is missing, this dishwasher is fabulous!

The unit is so quiet you barely know it's running. Cleans reasonably well most of the time. Spacious interior and nice features except the tines don't seem to line up on the racks making it very difficult to load to capacity. Not sure if this is a defect or just the design. Otherwise, we are satisfied with the purchase.

We are very pleased with our new LG dishwasher. Compared to the one we replaced, it is quieter, gets the dishes cleaner and we especially like the silverware rack with slots for each individual piece. Also the filter system is very easy to clean.

Bought this dishwasher about thirty days ago at Home Depot and the salesperson was very helpful. Everything works well but I offer the following two suggesions:
1. It would be nice to have the control panel on the top illuminated so it's easier to see the various functions - just a little difficult to read and illumination would be very helpful.
2. It never occurred to me to check the depth of the machine to make sure it wouldn't stick out in our particular situation. Older house and this never crossed my mind. My problem and not LG's as the machine is powerful, extremley quiet and does a terrific job. I'll just have to get used to it sticking out an inch from the cavity in which it's located. Not the biggest deal but I point this out to potential buyers who might want to put this into the space replacing an old machine - ours was 18 years old.
