Great Dishwasher!

Amazed at how quiet this dishwasher is when it is running! Dishes come out very clean. Seems that it takes a lot longer for a cycle to run than my 20 year old dishwasher that I had before we moved might have to do with how it dries. As another reviewer said, without the heated drying cycle, dishes seem very wet once the cycle is complete. Love the capacity of this dishwasher. Still getting used to where to put items. The silverware holder is what I wish was different - you put the silverware in each slot with the handle down. So that means when you need to put the silverware away, you are touching the part you eat with as that is what is sticking up. Overall, great dishwasher! We have been using it almost 2 months now and are very happy with our purchase!

I really like the dishwasher. It is really quiet and steams and cleans very well. The only thing I do not like is the tines are short and all of my plates always fall over. My plates are fiesta ware and they have a ridge on the back of the plates. Taller tines would make them stand up a little better. Also would be nice if there was light that stayed on when the dishes are clean. Other people in the house do not always know if the dishes are clean and start to put dirty dishes in when they are really clean. I had to get a clean / dirty magnet.. All and all I like the dishwasher and it was a great price.

Super quiet & does an excellent job of cleaning!

My wife and I were prepared to spend twice the money on another brand of dishwasher when we visited our local home store because of all the rave reviews we had read about it. Fortunately, the salesman helping us let us know the more expensive model did not have a heater to dry the dishes! Additional work drying dishes was NOT our goal, so we asked what he would recommend that was still very quiet but also had the heater. The LG model LDS5540ST is what he recommended, and we could not be happier. We can barely hear the thing running when we are standing right next to it, and that is important with the open floor plan we currently have. And as a bonus, the dishes come out clean (and dry) the first time every time! Thanks, LG, for having a quality product that meets our dishwashing needs at such an affordable price!

This dishwasher gets the job done efficiently and effectively. I love that it is super quiet when running as well. All of our kitchen appliances were installed by the contractor that built the house prior to our purchase (dishwasher, stove, microwave). We decided to purchase a LG refrigerator to compliment what was already installed at the time of purchase. Since then we've also purchased a LG front load clothes washer and dryer. We couldn't be happier with each and every product. LG products are very well thought out and function seamlessly!

Adjustable Racks too loose ...

Cleans great, quiet and looks good too. Only problems are the top racks are too loose and hard to keep in place (they slip during cycles). Takes over two hours to run a normal cycle. Efficient but difficult to run multiple cycle in an evening.
