Not happy with LG new technology appliances

I bought this over a year. Not it warranty after that. It’s Laud and it’s making an error that I have to call a service center not related to LG which it cost almost as a new one. Old appliances last for so many years without any problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke after 4 years of service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was quiet and did a good job cleaning the dishes - but after 4 years of once a week cycles it started giving error codes, cost to repair was more than I originally paid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Dishwasher

Dishwasher is very quiet and very efficient. It plays a little tune when dishes are clean. So far, we have been very happy with this product

I have had maybe 9 dishwashers in my life and most of them always have 1 or 2 things that might stand out. I have used my 5540 a little over a month. I make sure it runs at least once a day and twice a week I let the food dry on the dishes. One other thing I wanted to test was how well it handled the left over food that was on the dishes. I have to say that I was taken by surprised the dishwasher exceeded all of my requirements. One small thing I had to get used to was making all selections on the dishwasher while the dishwasher door was in the open, Other then that you can't say anything bad about it.!

The only way that I know the dishwasher is running is because the light is on. So quiet. We are very satisfied with our LG new dishwasher. Not only is it super quiet, but it is efficient, spacious, and quality built. I would highly recommend this dishwasher to family and friends.

Great Features & Functionality at this Pricepoint!

Relatively easy do-it-yourself installation due to thoughtful design that places adjustment screws for rear leg height at front of unit. Very quiet, but not completely silent, as some reviewers suggest. My unit may make more noise because I installed an air gap at the sink. I absolutely love the clean flat front with no protrusions since I had to install the dishwasher at a right angle to adjacent cabinet, allowing drawers to open in front of the face of the dishwasher with ample clearance. The hybrid drying system has worked flawlessly--dishes and glasses come out "squeaky clean" and spotless. My favorite feature is the "top rack only" cycle that saves water and energy for the majority of our dishwashing needs. The LDS5540ST has plenty of capacity on board when we entertain family and friends. Has been in use for one week--will update if reliability issues arise. The only thing missing is a rinse & hold cycle; however, I just start a cycle, then cancel after a few minutes of 1st rinse.

I love this dishwasher! We can actually hear the TV and have a conversation in the kitchen now. And I love the styling... simple design fits any décor. The adjustable rack works good for those odd sized items. It holds lots and lots of dishes in the bottom rack so I can do less loads.
