Very quiet, energy efficient, great features

This dishwasher is great. I love the adjustable racks for loading. The problem is cleaning the filter. The instructions I received and the ones I am referred to online are not for my machine. My filter is totally different than pictured. But, I've solved that problem, so far, by using 1 cup of vinegar in a cup, placed in the bottom rack, instead of Jet Dry. That stopped the white residue on everything. Plus, I use 1/2 a tablet of detergent and I rinse the dishes before loading. So far, so good. It's nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem.

Does not clean right

I bought this dishwasher a few months ago and this dishwasher aggravates me because it does not clean right. I expected better since I do have other LG products. I rinse my dishes and still it leaves food. I have tried different settings to rectify this issue. I use quality detergent and rinse aid and still it continues to leave food. I must admit a few times the dishes have all come out very clean so it has done a good job before. We eat blueberries and even though the dish is rinsed put in dishwasher, when it comes out the bowl has a tinge of blue. I look forward to one day it breaking completely and getting a different brand!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dishwasher is very easy to load/unload. I am extremely pleased at how quiet the unit is.

My dishes do not stand up in the rack during wash

I bought this dishwasher 6 months ago and cannot keep my dishes to remain in an upright position during the wash cycle. The dishes have chipped because of the racks. I will research the LG site to see if they have new racks. If not, I will buy a new dishwasher. It is quiet but I cannot accept my dishes being chipped because the racks cannot hold the dishes upright. I was a LG fan up to now. The dishwasher racks need to be redesigned.
Pros: easy to use

Quiet but smells and doesn't wash well

It's super quiet but I'm not happy with the quality of the wash. Coffee stains never get off my white caps no matter which cycle I use.
But the most important problem - the plastic front panel gets very hot and smells badly. It appears to be a common problem. It looks like the plastic is very cheap. I'm trying to fix it somehow myself (because LG doesn't care) but if I cannot find a solution I will have to replace it even though it's only 1 year old. I's been used at least 200 times over the last year but the smell is still here. It's bad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our former appliance broke after only 6 years and this LG replaced it. It's a jy to operate and gets the dishes sparkling clean. it plays a little tune when it's done!
