Expected better

I bought this end of last year and only unboxed it in February when I started baking again.
I was disappointed to find that the ingredients at the bottom of the bowl does not get mixed and I would have to stop the machine once in a while to scrape the bottom manually stir the ingredients a bit.
The other disappointing thing is that the dough hook is missing from my box. I inially thought maybe it did not come with the hook but a check on this website says it does.
The plastic cover with a feature for adding ingredients feels flimsy and does not match the quality of the rest of this heavy duty machine.

My boys purchased the mixer for me as an early Mother's day present and I love it. It is taking a bit to get used too but when I get to know the mixer we will become best friends. The only thing I don't like is the plastic splash cover it isn't a great fit as it dosen't fit smug on bowl.
