My husband surprised me with this as a gift for Christmas. I had to rapidly rearrange our small kitchen to accommodate it. It was much heavier than anticipated which makes it a bit awkward to use as I am unable to store it near a power outlet. I’ve used it twice so far. It was great for dough (made burger buns) but has trouble with whisking a single egg white for mini pavlovas (the whisk attachment despite factory calibration barely skimmed the surface of the egg white). My previous stand mincer has a detachable head for using the beater as handheld and I think I’ll need to keep that as the KitchenAid doesn’t see suitable for small amounts. My main issue is that I want to make lots of cakes but we’re on a healthy eating plan so cake is a sometimes food! Would recommend to regular bakers making average to large quantities. Would be great it if it came with the flex edge beater attachment as standard.
