Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used a Kitchen Aid Mixer for 33 years & was very happy with it, but it is about worn out - most speeds don't work anymore. I was excited to buy this new one, since the bowl is bigger & it is supposed to have more power. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is that the silver band on the motor head is installed crooked. (It could be a problem keeping clean.) I DO NOT like the fact that Kitchen Aid no longer puts the spring on the post. When running the mixer, it sounds clunky & I'm concerned about the motor wearing out soon because of so much play in the post & the part that goes up into the mixer head. When kneading dough, it sounds like the mixer is working harder than my old one that I made dough with for 33 years! My grandmother loved her kitchen aid, my mother loves hers & I loved my old one. But, I am disappointed with the new one.

I borrowed my friend’s Artisan series 5quart tilt-head Stand mixer, and I had to give it back and I was devistated, so I bought myself 2, one for my house and one for my RV. A red one and a black one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Leaking Oil Out of Shaft

bowl wedged into basin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] unfortunately i have been unable to use the kitchenaid stand mixer i received as a gift because the bowl sticks fast to the basin. the first time i used it it wedged to the basin I was able to dislodge it after about 20 minutes of struggling with it. I tried it a second time and it again stuck like cement to the basin again after a 2 minute mixing. The design simply does not work. I would not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 5 Quart Tilt Head that is now 35 years old. My older mixer is "OUTSTANDING"! I use it for everything, especially mixing doughs. I bought my Son the new 5 quart Artisan for Christmas and was shocked on it's lack of performance. Your new version could not make it through a Pizza Dough without struggling, overheating etc. I returned it for the Pro-600 model which performs better but still "no comparison" to Kitchen Aid's older models. Need to focus more on the Motor and less on the 100 colors!! Sad

Garbage Customer Service

The mixer we bought got jerky even after we micro adjusted the bolt. We intended to call the customer service to get support or replacement. But they put you on hold for over 1 hour and simply hang up the phone - multiple times. It is virtually impossible to get through a human being on the customer service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The. mixer is fine.The stainless bowl is rusting.Stainless steel isn't supposed to rust.I was a dairy farmer for 40 years and none of my milk equipment ever rusted.It was stainless also.
