The power button is very hard to push to turn my phone on and off. I’ve bought the hard case and slipcover that goes with it many times before and this is the first time I’ve had any issues. It’s definitely gotten easier to press since I first received it but still not as easy as it should be. The volume buttons and everything else is fine (fit & color).

Solid case. My previous Otter Box Commuter lasted for five years, and protected the same iPhone for the duration. I dropped my iPhone several times in the case, and I never once had a screen crack or other phone breakage issue. Highly recommend this product, it's excellent and worth the price.

I love my otter box phone cover. I have dropped my iPhone a few times and my otter box has protected it every time! I ordered another slipcover as the one I had I wore out the power button, when I placed my order I was sent an email stating that the color I chose was no longer available so I just chose a different color and I received the new cover within 4 days! Great service!

I was looking for a case to replace my Lifeproof. I have an iPhone 5S and liked the protection My Lifeproof case offered, but they don’t make cases for iPhone 5S any more. The Otter box case is not waterproof, but I didn’t need that. The sound is better. The case is a little slippery in my hands because it’s not rubberized all the way around, but it has some rubberizing, about 30%. It is rated for falls from 2 meters (approx 6 ft) and doesn’t have screen protection (which I hated when I had a Lifeproof Fre briefly bcz it reduces screen responsiveness). I feel this Commuter Otter case a good compromise. Thank you Otter for making products for the iPhone 5S still and for having Otter Adventurers available to chat and help me with choosing a model to meet my needs.
