ONE TOUGH NUT!!!!!

The Commuter is one amazing product. I own a 89 Toyota 4Runner. One evening while loading gas cans in the 4runner I placed my phone screen side down on top of the truck about 4-6 inches from the back of the truck. I left the house to get gas, after the first stop sign and left turn I realized I didn't have my phone so I turned around in the cul-de-sac about 1/4 mile from the house and returned home. After calling my phone twice I found it. It had moved less than an inch. It takes a beating, has great gripping power, what an AWSOME PRODUCT!!!! Part of my driveway is gravel with a 1 to 2 inch bump and the meeting of the concrete. I played hockey puck with it one day in error but after it all that the phone shows ZERO Damage. :D

I am so overly ecstatic with my otter box experience. My phone was left on the top of my car, and flew off into the road and got ran over. the otter box saved my iPhone. NOT ONE SCRATCH!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I liked the first one so much that I bought a second one. First rubber insert lasted about 6 months and Otterbox replaced it right away. The staff is knowledgeable with the ability to listen and reason. Bought this second insert simply because I wanted a change of color; with the confidence that it will be replaced if there are issues with quality/performance.

I've been an iPhone and Otterbox customer for almost a year now, although it wasn't until a few weeks ago I used the Commuter style. My phone came with a very rugged Defender, which was the pinnacle of protection... It was just too bulky, and the all-rubber exterior wasn't kind to the pocket.
The Commuter, on the other hand, is a fair tradeoff--- Less protection, I'll admit, but I'm still positive whatever I do to my phone (drop, sling, sit on, knock off the counter); it's protected enough, and slim enough to easily slide in and out of my pocket. I also liked pairing the gasket and shell colors, as opposed to having only the preset pairings of color in stores.
The Commuter, on the other hand, is a fair tradeoff--- Less protection, I'll admit, but I'm still positive whatever I do to my phone (drop, sling, sit on, knock off the counter); it's protected enough, and slim enough to easily slide in and out of my pocket. I also liked pairing the gasket and shell colors, as opposed to having only the preset pairings of color in stores.
My only complaint is the port cover tacks. Over time, they (and the whole bottom bar of rubber, for that matter) stretch from use, which is acceptable, as that damage is covered under the otterbox warranty, as long as you hold on to your receipt.

It is a great case, but what I love most is how you can swap the outer and inner piece for different colors. There is a ton of variety in colors for both pieces of the case.
