I do love Otterbox cases. My biggest beef with this case is that if you are using one of the 30-pin to 8-pin Apple adapters (as I do in my car), you have to take the case off as the cut outs for the speakers are not wide enough to allow for the adapter to plug in. So basically since I don't want to take the cover off and on all the time to plug it in, I have to bring another charger and also not have it play through my stereo system.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: doesn't work with apple adapter

I usually buy the defender but this time I got the commuter it's ok but the little button on top is hard to press down to turn phone off.

This is a rugged case, with a minimalistic design. It will protect your phone from sever drops that would normally damage your device. The case fits perfectly and the ports are protected by rubber flaps. This case is perfect for anyone looking for superior protection, with a sleek design.

Worst Case Ever

I have loved my Otterbox cases in the past and was both surprised and disappointed upon receipt of the iPhone 5 Commuter case. The rubberized and hard shells neither fit well with each other or the phone. There are obvious gaps between the rubberized body and the device, negating any 'dust and particulate' protection attempted. The buttons and ringer toggle are difficult to operate, and the port covers simply don't fit the hard shell. As another reviewer stated, there is a slightly sharp edge on the face of the hard shell. The rubberized shell looks like it's years old straight from the packaging, with frayed bits of rubber, odd creases, and weathering all over.
I would neither recommend this product to a friend nor purchase it again for myself.

Only case I use, for everything!!!

I have used otter box for my 1G iPad, 3G iPad, Iphone 4, 4S, and now my 5. I shock people by showing the protection the case provides by tossing my phone behind me.
I've heard stories of defender cases being left on cars and driving away, but I prefer the comuter so it'll slide in my pocket.
As with anything they have their issues, the lighter silicones get dirty or may stretch. Otterbox has always stood behind the products with me!!
Pros: High quality, Durable, easy to install or remove

The case looks very nice but I had 3 problems with it. First; was the flaps on the bottom that cover the ports, they don't quite stay closed over the ports. The second; is the screen protector, it didn't give much direction on how to put it on, didn't want to stay put, and the stickers that were on it left a sticky residue. I ended up taking it off very soon after putting it on. Lastly; was the outer case didn't quite fit over the inner case.
I was disappointed with it for the amount of money I spent on it.

Great Case

I purchased this case after life proof had failed me. This case has saved my phone. I haven't had a broken phone since I bought the case back in February and I went through four phones in 6 months before that. It is missing a corner on my case from a fall but better the case than my phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!
