Should give this a few more months.

The 30 pin to Lightning adapter is NOT compatible. At least not without going at the case with an xacto knife. That's my primary gripe.
The night sky blue is also a bit more pastel than it looks in the image. The case does fit well over my phone, as opposed to many of the other reviews. The power button is extremely stiff however, stiff enough that it is very difficult to press if you're checking the time and trying to keep the phone in your pocket.
Pros: Durable
Cons: no access for 30 pin adapter, color different than web image

Not Very Durable

The outer plastic case cracks very easily if you are not careful removing it and putting it back on your phone.
The protection of your screen is not 100%. Yes, I have dropped my phone several times with the case on and it has not cracked. But I have also dropped it without a case many times and received no cracks. Today, after dropping my phone from about waist-high, the screen finally cracked.
Upon removing the case, there is also a hairline crack behind my phone and towards the bottom, that was not there before I had purchased the case.
Pretty disappointed, would not purchase this same case again if I am looking for protection.
Pros: thin fits in pocket easy, sleek design
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This case is HORRIBLE. I've had this case for four months only dropping it a handful of times in my apartment and it look's disgusting I ordered the slip cover in white and it looked beautiful, but after the first day it was already turning dingy and grey. I looked up tips on how to clean it and restore the white and none worked. The top layers to the skin of the slip cover have peeled horrendously and the bottom rubber part just got weak and snapped in two like a rubber band. The plastic shell cracked and chipped after the first drop which was about three feet off the ground onto my kitchen tile. After the second drop at about the same height the bottom plastic just completely cracked off. This case feels very sturdy, but isn't very durable AT ALL. I clean my phone and case frequently, but it's embarrassing looking and makes me seem dirty. It did protect the phone after the two drops, but with so much damage to the actual case its not going to protect my phone for much longer. I'm not going to bother with the warranty to get a replacement, I'm just going to try a Life Proof case.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, everything else
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible - Do not buy

this case makes it very hard to turn the screen off/on. tried to send a message and would like to return it but they want pictures. how do you take a picture of something like that! not to mention the screen protector had a crease in it also when i opened it. so no screen protector with the case.
Cons: Low quality, button on top makes impossible to use

Save your money

This is my first Otter Box product, and my expectations were high considering the price paid. I am very disappointed and will not buy another.
1. The 30 pin to lightning (genuine Apple-made) adapter can not be used with this case. The adapter is wider than the case opening. I have to use this adapter to connect my phone to my car's iPod cable.
2. The screen protector provided with the case is a joke. The stickers applied to the screen protector material were very difficult to remove. Also, the material is somewhat oversized for the screen when the case is in place.
3. The outer plastic of the "commuter" model is too hard. The top edge - where my ear comes into contact with the case when on a call - is sharp and actually painful. The back of the case is too smooth and slides around way too easily.
Save your money and buy something with a better design that was actually tested on the product it was intended to protect.
Cons: Low quality, incompatible with device, poor material

worst case

About two days ago, I ordered this case. Today, I tried taking the case off, since my phone doesn't fit with the case on in the docking station. As I was taking this off, the plastic actually snapped in half. The case is very difficult to take on and off. I know one of my close friends who purchased this case and when her phone was dropped, the phone broke inside of the case. Very poor quality.
Pros: terrible

Having used Otterboxes in the past I had no qualms about purchasing a Commuter case for my iPhone 5. I wish I hadn't. It's an medium priced case but it feels just so cheap. It's hard to the touch and incredibly slippy...more than the phone itself - And as my title says, it's a good job it protects the phone as I can see it being dropped numerous times with this case.
It doesn't fit the phone exactly either. The connector cover and headphone cover do not close, so they are hanging down and other parts of the casing are open to the elements, like the top of the case next to the camera and the Apple logo itself. It almost seems like they didn't get a proper sizing chart for the iPhone and just tried their best. Mind you, with the problems that Apple are having with the newest iPhone, I'm hardly surprised. Other than these problems, it also knocks your phone signal quite a bit. 5 bars down to 3 with no hope of getting higher.
Pros: Durable, easy to fit
Cons: Low quality, knocks out signal, slippy in hand

This was my first time purchasing an Otter case and I am disappointed. The screen protector is alright, but the second piece of paper you peel off after installation leaves a sticky residue that is very difficult to get off the screen. The case seems to be durable but it is extremely uncomfortable to hold. The lip on the bottom sticks out to the point where it is uncomfortable to use the screen and the plastic on the left side of the phone has a sharp edge which seems to be cheaply fused together. Also, as other reviewers have stated, the power button is difficult to press.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Low quality
