Commuter plastics breaks but Otterbox backs it up

This outer plastic shell breaks. So I would not recommend this case. However Otterbox has replaced it twice for me and for my wife and mother. So as a company they will take care of you. I will try a different OB case next time

Love my Otterbox case and would not have anything else. My case has broken (but not my phone!!!!) twice and Otterbox has honored the warranty with no questions asked.
Worth every penny! The commuter case fits well in my pocket. Wish they would come up with more sophisticated colors.

I like the colour choices available but the outer case is less strong and had to be replaced two months after buying. The phone was well protected however by the liner.

I use the Otter Box Commuter Series. The 1st one I owned was for my iPhone 4. I loved it! It was very smooth in the hand and the protection was excellent. After I bought the iPhone 5s I immediately bought the commuter series again to replace it. To my disappointment it is not comfortable to hold in your hand. There are hard ridges on the back edges and corners which make it uncomfortable to grip. Also, it does not sit level on the table with the phone in it. If you set it on the table face up and try to use the phone it will rock. I thought it was just a defective case but I had to replace the back after it soon cracked. It cracked near the camera hole when I removed it from the phone on day. The plastic is very thin in that area due to the increased camera hole opening size. Well, the new one is the same. When on the table it rocks a bit. The new hard ridges lift it up a bit from the table surface and are not level. This is very annoying. As for the new colors, you cannot get one anymore with the black rubber inside. It has to be some odd color combination. So, the protection is great which is why I bought it. However, the plastic mold changed for the worse.
Pros: good everyday protection, customer service, warantee
Cons: not comfortable in the hand anymore, does not sit flat on a surface, don't come with black silicone rubber

Ever since the Iphone came out I chose Otter Box to protect it. The cases made fits every ones likes. I chose a less bulky one and my son in law is a contractor who chose a bulky one for added protection. The design is phenomenal. The product is made for durability as well as the protection I look for. I have a Iphone 5s. As soon as the case comes out for the battery back like the 4s I plan on getting one. Now lets talk about your customer service. That is beyond excellent. How you treat your customers sells your product and keeps those customers coming back just like me. Ever since I have used your product I have never regret it. I look forward to my next purchase which I hope comes available soon! Thank you

Overall, I have really enjoyed this case and the amount of protection that it has provided my iPhone5. However, I dropped it once, not from very high and on accident of course, and the bottom portion of the hard plastic cover easily cracked because it is a thinner portion of the hard plastic cover.

Otter box ensures my iphone has excellent protection against accidental (and clumsy) drops. Working as an electrician, I get into some awkward locations and occasionally drop my phone from heights near 8' onto wood and concrete floors. For the past four years Otter box has protected my mobile phone investment.
