Otterbox does not disappoint....

After reading other reviews I decided to go ahead and get the commuter as I have loved the 3 and 4 versions. The phone simply slid right in to the rubber sleeve then the shell snapped right on. Not sure where people say the power button is hard to push. As far as the headphone and power ports not sealing. If you just rub the covers the tabs just go right back into place.
The only complaint I have is that on the top front corners on the plastic are just a touch rough. Other then that the case is outstanding.
I got the punk green and blue.
Pros: Durable

Inconsistencies In Production - Redesign Please

I ordered two Commuters for the iPhone 5. The black one fits perfect. The punked one does not fit well as the port cover does not fold flush to the phone, nor is it able to clasp shut. Looking at the two silicon pieces side by side, they are obviously from different molds. The black one has nice ridges for a sharp shape, the blue insert for the punked case did not and fit was terrible.
I would love to see a redesign of this case. The case does not need such a large lip over the front screen. Also, the port cutouts could be modified slightly to allow for the use of adapters (specifically, the dock style Apple 30-pin to Lightning Adapter).
Pros: Durable, protective, attractive
Cons: Low quality, too large, port cutouts too small for adapters
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

30 Pin Adapter

The only reason this case is not perfect is that the 30 pin adapter will not fit. I am sure they will fix this in future models but it is very frustrating. I might wait to upgrade to the new phone next time and let the afetermarket items design catch up with the new changes.

So glad I bought this case after dropping it in the street and around home multiple times. The edges, rubber, screen protector, and plastic are awesome and fit nice and snug. The top button is hard to press (i assume i'll get use to it) the annoying part is the charger cover doesn't stay shut... i mess with it constantly and debated cutting it off. would like a thinner case but for its protection its worth it. The pros outweigh the cons.
Pros: Durable, nice turquoise color

Great Protection just dont choose white

i am a teenager and i drop my phone a lot but this case really withstood some damage. i was on my bike once and it was in my poncho on my hoodie and it flew out and fell on the ground i had to turn around and go get it. maybe a few knicks on the case but besides that perfectly fine. the knicks aren't even that big. can't notice them but dont get the pink and white one it gets so dirty so i had to get another one in a different color.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: bad design, white got dirty, frayed a little

I have heard so much about OtterBox from several people over the years, both for iPhone & Galaxy phones. After having my iPhone 4 shatter on me, I did not want to take any chances on my iPhone 5c. I'm completely in love with this case. The fact that I was able to customize it added some brownie points, of course. I was expecting a bit of bulk & that's exactly what I got, it's not that much of a noticeable difference. It can still fit in my back jean pocket. I haven't dropped it yet & don't plan on doing it, but from seeing my friends constantly drop theirs, I'm highly confident that this case will do its job wonderfully. Thanks Otterbox!

I originally wanted to get the defender case, and although it is great and has been protecting my phone thus far I wanted something less bulky. I tried the commuter case and it fits lovely in my purse, pocket and in the cup holder in my car. I love it and it still protects my phone from me. I tend to drop my phone a lot and Otterbox truly shield my phone from my clumsiness. My phone says, "Thank you Otterbox!!!"
