I love my commuter case, I own a lot of cases(mainly otterbox's) and this is by far my favorite, It is very slim, but at the same time very protective. Although I rarely drop my phone, its good to know that I don't have to worry about breakage when I do.
I highly recommend this case to anyone that doesn't like the feel of a thick bulky case, but wants the protection of one.

Guess otter box has grown to the point where quality control is not a priority. I purchased 2 of these cases for Christmas presents for my kids. Both outer plastic cases had extremely sharp edges on every corner from when the case was pulled from the mold. The edges were so sharp it cut my daughters ear while talking on the phone. I was able to resolve the issue by finishing the job that otter box failed to complete. I took 1500 grit wet sandpaper and spent about 30 minutes going over all edges of the hard case. Both cases are very smooth and feel comfortable in your hand and pressed against your ear now. I would not recommend a product that you have to work on in order for it not to cut you when using it.

Otterbox has impressive customer service. I cracked my iPhone 5 Commuter series plastic shell and I did as they suggested and received a replacement in less than ten days! Impressive? I think so!
Now the second plastic shell has cracked. The problem is I remove the shell once a day, and only once a day, to put my iPhone on a dock. I can't dock my iPhone with the shell on so it has to be removed. I'm just surprised that the shell cracks so easily. This time around I used a different technique to remove the shell so I wouldn't crack it again but it was to no avail, I just cracked it in a different spot.
Suggestion... make the commuter series so that the cover does not have to be removed to dock it.
Pros: good size to keep in pocket
Cons: not durable if it has to be removed

This product is absolutely wonderful! I have had an Otterbox Commuter on my phone for the last year. Recently a little crack developed in the corner (honestly probably from normal wear and tear) I used their online form ( I submitted my order number and a picture of what broke) and they sent me a brand new case no questions I asked. They are an excellent company that sells a quality product and cares about their customers! I LOVE YOU OTTERBOX!

I purchased the commuter series and the plastic case cracked within a week, when I was removing it. I feel the tolerances are to close and you end up forcing the case on/off. The plastic isn't pliable enough to with stand this. Very dissappointed.
