My family has 2 of the otterbox cases. One of them has a white slipcover, which within a couple days gets dirty/stained and can not be cleaned off. We have received a new one with the warranty but it did the same thing. The other case we have has a grey slipcover and it is just fine. Overall we like the cases just wish we could get another color to replace the white one.

I had a commuter case for my iPhone 4 and loved it. Bu I am disappointed with the commuter for my iPhone 5s. I thought they would be made with the same material. They're not. It seems Otterbox went with cheaper material. The slip cover is stiff and not as supple as the previous version. While the outer shell feels more plasticy. I counted on the exposed inner slipcover for grip but the new version is slick and the two together are hard to hold on to. Hopefully the case still protects well because it will be tested slipping out of my hand.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Low quality, slippery

Overall, it's good except I had to take mine off 4 weeks after I got it to put the screen protector on, that did not ship with my product. Taking off the outer plastic is hard and I hope I don't have to do it again. Putting it back on caused bubbles in the screen protector. Not very functional

The slipcover itself was easy to install with the outer casing, fit perfectly and seems to be of high quality. The reason for the lower review scores is the screen cover. It ended up being unusable as the tab that is supposed to be removed from it left a fairly large patch of residue on the screen cover and we couldn't get it off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased a commuter series case about a year ago and it held up pretty well. The bottom corner broke off about 10 months after use. However, I was able to get a replacement slipcover for free. After the countless times I have dropped my phone, there are still no scratches and it looks brand new when the case is off. I highly recommend this product.
