I purchased an Otter Box case for the first time in late August. I loved the look of the case and it seemed very durable. Somehow, I managed to get a crack in the bottom of the plastic case. Otter Box replaced the case at no charge and I received the new piece in just a few days. Completely happy.

The case is great for protecting the phone although i find the bottom where the plastic surrounds the charging part and headphones is very weak ive had to replace mine twice already. Maybe get a different style instead of Commuter
Id like to say thank you to otter as they stand my there product and have replaced it at no charge to me both times.
Pros: protecrs phone from breaking
Cons: the bottom could be a little sturdier.

Great design protecting my iPhone from damage. Don't underestimate the importance of the flap over the charging port that keeps lint and debris off the contacts! The coefficient of friction is just right for keeping the phone from slipping out of one's pocket and into harm's way. A lot of thought went into the design and choice of materials. I wouldn't have any other iPhone case.

I just want to say a big thank you for replacing my Otterbox. There was no hassle and it was easy to do. I really do appreciate that, especially in today's environment where not many people are so willing to stand behind their product or provide a no-hassle replacement. I was also able to get the color I wanted (pink and white). For some reason, not a lot of vendors have this combination in stock. Thanks again. - CA

I have always enjoyed my Otter box cases. When I worked in landscaping, the defender was perfect for me. We had tried other brands but none of them would protect and have the same features as the Defender case. I particularly liked the belt-phone holder of this model, it worked very well. Now that most of my work is in the office and on sales calls rather than in the field, I use the commuter. I like the commuter much better because of it's small size. I didn't like the plastic guard on the Defender screen, and enjoy the absence of it on the commuter. I don't use a screen protector with my commuter and the response of just the glass is perfect. I am careful how i carry it, without keys etc. so it doesn't get scratched. the commuter does come with a screen protector if you prefer it.
Things I would like to see in the future:
* More creative colors. I currently have the lime green plastic with the dark gray vinyl and I really like that. I like that none of the colors or themes are tacky, but maybe there are some more things that would be appealing.
* Smaller, thinner size for the iPhone 5 and 5s. May not offer the protection, but would be one more line that people would prefer.
* Belt cases for the commuter and others like it. Perhaps leather that is well done as are the other Otter box products.
* The on/off button is pretty stiff on my slate gray commuter.
* I'm not sure that it's true but my son says that people cannot hear him as well when he is using his commuter as opposed to no case at all. Don't know if that is true to any extent, but mine seems to be working fine.

There have been a million companies making cases for phones for years, and your company continues to be a leader among all other options. That is very impressive. By the way, I did have a problem with the vinyl part of one of my defenders a couple of years ago and you sent me a whole new case. I appreciate that service. I rarely write reviews, I don't have the time, but I appreciate your product enough that I did want to write this one to say thank you.
