I use about 30 new phones each year and i gotta say this one really hit a home run with me. I love the design its super thin and light but battery life still remains good, and the fast charger really takes any worry away. Awesome features like themes help make it your own, and touch wiz is way, Way less intrusive, and is very fast. No more annoying popups about features u will never use. The camera is AWESOME, best one I've used on a phone, period. That's one of my favorite things about this phone, the pictures are realistic, high quality, and focus crazy fast, also love the camera shortcut it saves so much time! The display gets super bright and dark, very pleasing to look at, and being amoled gives deep blacks and very pleasing colors while being more color accurate. This phone is SUPER light I couldn't believe it was real first, but it feels really good in the hand with glass front and back and metal sides, real quality. Might want to get a skin for the back because being glass its super slick but looks outright sexy. This phone is definely a looker and a performer, it never crashed on me. Virtually zero lag, I love it!
Pros: Lightweight, sexy super slick very thin, super fast performance, super light, very customizable (finally), gorgeous display a pleasure to look at, best camera period. it's awesome, feels great in the hand, way cleaner os super fast no dumb features
Cons: expensive but that's not surprising, no sd card slot but 32gb should be plenty
I would recommend this to a friend!

A good phone if the features fit your needs.

A good phone where the built-in apps does what they suppose to do. There are a lot of settings to learn and adjust to fit my preference, which I was expecting and had intended to exploit. If you are patient and don't mind a complex device (think of the old PC Power Users), then this phone could be for you. It's going to take me a little while to get used to and remember which and what those three button at the bottom do.
The form factor takes a little getting used to as well since it is quite wider/taller and very much thinner to what I am used to. I have found that the best glass protectors (versus the film ones) adds a bit to the perceivable thickness (how it feels when I hold it). That is especially so if you put two--one for the front and one for the back--which is not surprising if you think about it as that is almost a millimeter added thickness, or about the thickness of a credit card. I think I'm going to switch back to a good film in the future as the thinness of the phone is an appealing factor despite how cumbersome it is.
I chose the regular S6 over the Edge as I highly suspect that I could accidentally activate a feature or app by just holding the phone. However, even with the regular S6, I still found that I do just that once in a great while. There is no way to adjust that active area or the sensitivity, which I find occasionally too responsive.
The phone is not perfect though; there has been hick-ups such as the wi-fi calling feature one time had gotten a glitch that required a clearing of its cache and rebooting the phone. Also, the quality of the network router (and I've even read that the sim card as well) can affect how well the wi-fi calling works with only cryptic messages as to what is wrong.
The auto screen dimming feature to conserve battery charge is a must need, but it dims too much to be usable in moderate darkness. I use an app to control when to have the auto dimming turned on or off.
Advance settings for the USB connection are hidden. You would need to do some research, or know someone who knows, to find out how to get to them. (BTW, there are two ways: through the "about device" secret access, or the USSD dial code.)
There is a lot of prepackaged apps to go through and convince yourself that you do not need (which is difficult if you never used it before and don't know what benefits they pose).
Your (rather the phone's) immediate location could become a sensitive information if you are not familiar with this common issue or prepared for it. It is stored in Google's server and therefor under their control, as well as a third party security company if you make use of built-in LookOut app. If the phone security is paramount over other considerations, then this is something you want to exploit, otherwise you have to turn off several access settings.
Bottom line, I feel the S6 is essentially a pocket PC computer, and therefor inherits all the advantages and capabilities of a computer, as well as all the vulnerabilities and problems of one. I think it is a great phone that is customizable to most needs. I would recommend to keep your needs and use of the phone simple just to minimize future problems or headaches. It is not a phone for everyone though; there are simplier and easier to use phones out there that I have read are just as good, just you are limited to what can be customized (of course, I'm referring to an obvious competitor). Yes, "thin and lightweight" can be both a pro and a con depending on the person. Likewise with the multiple complex settings. You really need to determine and prioritize your needs and desires of what you are looking for in a phone to decide.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, bright display when not dimmed, quick processor and response, advance settings (customization), it's thin with a big screen, infrared emitter to control tvs and the like, multiple contact list that can be merged, large number of apps to suite your needs
Cons: auto dim dims too much, non adjustible touch sensitivity, adjustible settings (complex and much to learn), it's thin and lightweight (problem for some)
I would recommend this to a friend!
