I liked this movie and wasn't disappointed with Kevin Smith's first PG-13 movie. While there are no very dirty jokes or excessive profanity, it's still Kevin Smith. The DVD has some good special features. Highly recommended.

This is a cute little movie about the love of family first. This emotionally charged movie is actually good even though Bennifer (Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez) are stars, but Raquel Castro is the real star. With costars George Carlin and Liv Tyler this movie will have you laughing and crying, but have a good time watching
What's great about it: Raquel Castro is amazing

Solid, mature dramedy from Kevin Smith

Great film from Kevin Smith, and in my opinion, his best since 'Chasing Amy'. His writing style has matured since his 'Clerks' days and it shows here. Ben Affleck plays a selfish music exec who must now care for his daughter alone. Well, he has the aide of his father (George Carlin), and with the help of a video store clerk (Live Tyler) must learn to reconcile his past with his present.
Raquel Castro, who plays his daughter, delivers a fine performance for a child actor. The relationship between the two is heart-warming. There's also great chemistry between Tyler and Affleck, and they really hold the movie together.
Overall, a solid flick that was unfortunately looked over during its theatrical run.
What's great about it: Well-written characters, Affleck's performance is solid, supporting cast, including George Carlin and Liv Tyler are good
What's not so great: DVD video quality is lacking, but this isn't some big-budget actioner so it doesn't really matter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was a big departure for Kevin Smith--a film about a family and the loss of a parent. Great performance by George Carlin. Very nice Echo Bridge release with good picture quality and a few nice extras. Recommended.

This movie is totally underrated. If you're a View Askew hawk or plain ole hater, please see this again with new eyes. Kevin Smith said something sweet here without curse words and for an open heart, it rings true and packs a meaningful, selfless punch. This blu-ray is slightly better than most Echo Bridge releases, with pretty good but not great A/V quality. The extras from the DVD are ported over to the blu-ray and like most View Askew productions, comes chock to the brim full of goodies.

My favorite Kevin Smith movie. This movie was suprising blind buy. Took a chance on the blu ray for the great price. Enjoyed it from beginning to end.
