I must say that this is the most gruesome horror movie I have ever seen. Flesh eating zombies killing humans. This is a great horror film. This is a unique film and its brutal to the eyes but I love it. I love horror movies and this proved to be one of the best horror movies i have ever seen. If you love horror movies you will definitely love this movie. Imagine flesh eating zombies walking around eating people; how sick is that?!
What's great about it: flesh eating zombies
What's not so great: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good remake with solid special features

Most remakes these days are simply studios going back to the well for a few more dollars. However, with Zack Snyder at the helm (director of 300), this remake was as good as I could have hoped it to be. I'm a big fan of the Zombie genre, and I would recommend this film to anyone that's a fan of horror or action films.
The DVD contains several featurettes that build on the world and round out what is happening during the days events. These additions, as well as several behind-the-scenes features, set the bar for what other special-feature DVDs should strive to be.
What's great about it: Great special features, a high-quality remake, good soundtrack
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes, it's not the original. Yes, they're fast zombies and "Fast zombies aren't realistic."
But who are we kidding? Are any zombies that realistic?
The movie is fun and it has some all right scare factor to it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This movie is absolutely amazing and the picture and audio quality leave nothing to be desired. My only problem with this release is universals U-control which is a picture in picture scene access for the special features. Meaning, in order to view any of the special features you have to watch the movie with this feature on. I honestly can't say I am a fan of this implementation.
Anyone who is a fan of the film, and how could you not be, would be happy to own this blu-ray.
What's great about it: Great picture and reference quality audio!
What's not so great: all of the special features are accessed through universals U-control
I would recommend this to a friend!

the first zombie scene in this movie is probably the creepiest i have seen in a while. great movie similar to the game "dead rising" over all a great addition to your zombie collection, and this one has a good ending.

Well , to say this movie is awesome is an understatement. The way Zack Synder made this film from beginning to end is superb. Being a fan of horror movies and a bigger fan of the Zombie genre, i adore this movie and have watched it at least once a week since its been in the theaters years ago. The time between movie and Dvd release almost killed me. My favorite movie of all time in any genre! I grew up watching the George Romero version and his Night and Day of the Living Dead flicks. Those are great too but I have to tell you, i wish there was a follow up to this movie. Fantastic on all accounts, the plot, the cinamatography, the acting, the dvd extras, funny, scary, dramatic. WOW- watch this! see this! buy this! tell your friends about it! NOW IF YOU WOULD EXCUSE ME I AM GOING TO WATCH IT AGAIN :)

One of the best zombie movies ever made!

This is one of my personal favorites, I love this movie! This movie is extremely intense, full throttle from beginning to end! I'm a huge zombie fan, and personally I've always like the zombies that run, not the ones that walk. It's more threatening when they're sprinting after you, instead of you being able to run circles around them. This movie was very well directed by Zach Snyder, and the screenplay is from George A. Romero. If you like zombie flicks, this one should be at the top of your list. I highly recommend it! Also, some of my personal favorite zombie (or zombie-like) films are Quarantine, 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later, Perkins 14, and Shaun of the Dead.
What's great about it: Very intense and fast paced!
What's not so great: Couldn't find anything.
I would recommend this to a friend!
