It picks up the same 4 channels I had with cheaper antenna but with better reception.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was having some trouble picking up most stations with a mountain in my way so this was the antenna recommended to me. When I first hooked it up, it received great with channels available that I didn't know were available. After a day or two, the channels started to "degrade" and I eventually just got occasional reception of some of the channels. After talking with a tech, it was felt I'd be better suited with an amp to get better reception. After hooking up the amp, I got terrific reception of all of the channels. After a day or two, the channels started to "degrade" again. After talking with a tech, they felt I would do better with a roof top mount. I bought the mount and installed the antenna on the roof. I lost most of the reception I had had with the antenna on the side of the house. After talking with a tech again, he thought it may be the splitter, so sent me another one. This had no effect on reception, so I put the antenna back on the side of the house, now with some extra holes on the roof for decoration. I have since fought the antenna, occasionally getting some stations, some coming in clear. Now that my return time frame is up, the antenna pretty much will not pick up any stations at all. This was a huge investment gone bust for me. Remember, buyer beware! Keep all of the original boxes so you can send it back. If the antenna had not lost signal and stayed as it was when I first installed, I would have given it 5 stars because it was perfect... for a day or two. If you buy and it keeps the reception, it is definitely worth it.

Works as it is supposed to, but didn't work for me

This product does attenuate (reduce) the signal strength, as it is supposed to do. However this didn't work in my situation. I had a bad case of multi-path interference. I was hoping the attenuator would reduce the signal strength, thereby reducing or eliminating the multi-path interference. It did reduce the signal strength but didn't reduce the multi-path interference. I then relocated my indoor TV antenna from the living room to the attic and that solved the multi-path interference problem. The attenuator didn't work for me but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work for someone else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sad I spent the money on the 'lp cover' antennas - this plugged right into legacy satellite cabling, and although I did have to install it (the other antennas just sat on a shelf, literally), I am now getting channels I have never gotten before (channel 2 CBS is notoriously hard to get in Chicago suburbs), in near-perfect clarity.
Also should note that the service is EXCELLENT. Called 20 minutes into SuperBowl, and someone still answered. Well done.
One note: contrary to the diagram in the booklet, the plane of the antenna should be perpendicular to the direction of the transmitter. I.e., present the most surface area, just like a solar panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What was the Linear attachment for ? VHF ? Seem to get better reception, even VHF channels without the Linear attachment. Should this attachment be mounted separately and oriented relative to main antenna ? Found main antenna to be very directional, < 90 degrees. Please advice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This antenna was relatively easy to assemble and I had it installed in my attic in no time with the included mount. I now have crystal clear free channels on all of my TVs after I paired it with the powered 4-way splitter. I was only getting about 6 channels using another company's indoor antenna and I had to move it around pretty often. I have many more channels now and they always come in clear.
