A little disappointed

I bought the 6D a year and half ago, and while it is a very nice camera, I am disappointed in the amount of noise visible. Oftentimes, even at ISO's as low as 640, noise is very obvious in darker/shaded areas of the scene.
I knew it only had 11 AF points, but I am still disappointed in this. For a full frame camera, even at "entry level", having only 11 AF points is pretty chintzy.
All in all, though, a nice camera, just very very basic functions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Software not current

"There is no - software for the OS Version you selected." That's the message on Canon's site for the current Mac OS, Yosemite. This little message means I now need to find workarounds for all the Canon software I've been using with my 6D. Whoever at Canon thinks this is acceptable, it is not. You need to prioritize keeping on top of software updates on Macs, which many pro's use. This is poor support. Please update your software.

6D wifi

The 6D is a great camera. The only only weakness I found is the WIFI operation. The software is a bit "clunky" as compared to others such as CamRanger. In fact, I would suggest to Canon that they adopt the CamRanger software or make it compatible to use with CamRanger.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Solid build quality. Nice operating features (WiFi and GPS) wish it allowed exposure time to go down to 1/8000, and was more waterproof. Overall very well done Canon! Colors and contrst are everything I expected, 28-105mm F4 is wonderful compliment to the 6D body, focuses very quickly, and appears to be razor sharp. Will have to try a few indoor boy's basketball games to decide this for sure. Weight and bulk are slightly more than my old 30D, but not near what I expected, going full frame. Overall very workable compromise on them! Compared to 5DMkIII, this is light and svelt, very carryable for all day use. Have an upcoming trip to Alasks, will modify the ratings at that time if necessary.
Pros: quiet, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life

Canon 6D

I made this purchase to upgrade my photo skills. I have been shooting with a Canon XSi 450D for the past eight years and had reached this cameras limits.
I am now very impressed with what I have seen so far. But this is a major step up for me and I am having to relearn how shoot with this camera because of the major differences between the two camera frames. But with each new item I learn, it only gets better. Most of the time I shoot in Manual and with the 6D, it's a little harder to do on the run. But like I said before, with a little more time to get use to this frame I will be liking it even more. I just wish it had the ISO button on the outside of the chassis instead of on the screen along with the white balance light button. As for the quality of the photos it takes, I could not be happier.

best camera ever

This camera is amazing.. I bought 1 and I was so impressed with the image quality and focus accuracy! Just blew me away!

The overall product is nice. HOWEVER, the LCD screen looks presentable, but it is made out of horrible quality. As I've been talking to my friends with the same EOS 6D they said they have had LCD problems as well. The main problem is it cracks very easily. Canon needs to improve on this because the repairs are expensive.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: Dim LCD, Poor build quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
