I used the Canon 6d. There are cons and pros on this camera.
Cons.
There are time the AF is hunting for the wrong subject.
It missed the white balance at the finger tip.
It has only one card storage.
Shutter is a little slow.
Shutter is not as durable.
LCD screen doesn't come on until you switch to live view.
The battery life is only fair.
Connection to Windows 7 may have problem.
Pros
The controls are easy to understand.
The noise reduction is very good even in high ISO.
The camera is very comfortable to handle.
The price is good for a full size sensor.

Should I be impressed?

Great camera overall. Great image quality and all, but why do I feel I bought very expensive Rebel ? I honestly like my 50D better! Controllers are different not in a good way by far. The new round controller instead of joystick is absolutely unnecessary. buttons on the top have less functionality. Wi-fi is great but gets in a way and not easy to set up. This is supposed to be a step down from 5D mark 3 but it feels like the camera has been crippled and reduced on purpose. You have to disable wi-fi to take video, shutter is less durable and slower 1/4000s, yes HDR in camera but only JPG, you can customize almost every button and yet I battle with the camera all the time. The camera feels cheap not comparing it with any other cameras, it just feels cheap! I can definitely say for sure this will be my very last Canon camera!

I love it

Finally a camera that can fully replace my 12 years old EOS 30 film camera. Image quality is beyond anything I've expected, and it still surprises me whenever I take the 6D for a walk. AF system is very efficient, and even if only the center point is cross type, it gets the job done without any problem. Image quality at high ISO settings lets me take photos in light conditions which I wouldn't consider worth taking my camera out from the bag. Only cons I can find are lack of built in flash with wireless flash control capability and perhaps the fact that there is no EOS Remote for Windows Phone (let's hope yet).
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Simple controls/menu
Cons: Missing features/settings, where's eos remote for windows phone? ;)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quality, workable product. Functions well. Excellent focusing in low light (on subject NOT moving); very good ergonomics and handling; great digital processor. However, still no tethered shooting with Aperture or Lightroom. That's a head scratcher.
Pros: excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, Complicated controls/menu
I would recommend this to a friend!

irritating controls, slow & weak live view focus

As a long-time Canon APS-C owner, having always accumulated EF lenses in anticipation of owning a full-frame body, the 6D's image quality and low light perfomance with f2.8L glass is very satisfying.
Needing to continually refer to documentation, for example to select image recording formats (confusingly labelled Image quality), then e.g. struggling with TWO controls for that ONE menu item becomes infuriating.
Other potentially useful menu options being opaquely named (e.g. "Auto Lighting Optimizer") discourage one from experimenting with them.
While increased field of view and depth of focus control inherent with full frame sensors motivate carrying it around, my 6D will likely be relegated to backup status; a 16-35 f2.8L might be more often appropriate for shots impossible with long telephoto lens on an APS-C primary body, a 40mm f2.8 STM will be less hassle (consequently more often lugged around) on this anti-intuitive secondary body.
Reviewers suggest that a 6D viewfinder is more useful than those on APS-C bodies; I have not noticed any appreciable benefit.
Bottom line: I might have felt obligated to try (and more irritated by) making a 5D mkIII my primary body, had I opted to invest more in 35mm imaging. Except that its ergonometrics will probably prove as aggravating (to me) as the 6D's, I anticipate eventually pairing a 7D mkII with the 6D, rather than spending roughly the same on a (reportedy soon to be obsoleted) 5D mkIII.
One can appreciate Canon offering relatively sophisiticated options while also hating that inadequate thought and care has been invested in intelligently organizing and documenting control of those options. Sadly, abdicating to the aftermarket for useful documentation has become typical.

This camera is slow. Does not focus well. To expensive for the return on performance.
