Best IQ and good WiFi

This is an ideal camera for landscape, cityscape and studio photography, or basically anything except quick action, with an image quality that is as good or better than any other camera in the lineup. Really good high ISO performance. The WiFi is wonderful for taking and adjusting bracketed shots without having to touch the camera and accidentally moving it if you want to retake your bracket. Also convenient when camera is in an uncomfortable or awkward position for continuous viewfinder use. I love this camera, it really is a no brainer for anyone looking for wonderful image quality. There are a few differences between this and the pricier Canon models, but the only one I really wish I had would be the dual card slots.

I love my Canon 6D. It is my first full frame dslr. I love how easy it is to use. My favorite feature is the silent mode. I use that feature frequently along with the custom settings as well. I thought it would be hard to use, but it is not. I will highly recommend the 6D to anyone looking for a full frame dslr.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic entry to full frame

Moved up to the 6D from a T4i; very happy with the move. I think it's a great balance of features/performance for the price. I didn't have the budget for a 5D MkIII, but there are also things about the 6D that I like better (e.g. inclusion of WiFi and better low-light sensitiviy in the center auto-focus point).
For me, the vast majority of the shortcomings really didn't apply (e.g. lack of headphone jack) since I don't shoot video with DSLRs. I also don't shoot wildlife or sports, so having a more robust auto-focus system like the 5D MkIII wasn't something I needed.
I thought I was going to miss the touch-screen of the T4i, but turned out not to be the case. There are definitely more physical buttons and setting up a 'My Menu' gives you quick access to top-used features. On the T4i, I found myself always switching between the physical buttons and touchscreen anyhow. So I find it arguably better to just interact with the physical buttons/dials for all tasks.
Goes without saying, but love all the benefits of full frame; especially the larger viewfinder.
Almost 90% of my images with the T4i with 18-135mm EF-S lens were at 20 to 35mm (~30 to 56mm field-of-view equivalent), so I opted to settle on a 50mm prime (f/1.2) as my first EF lens.
The camera/lens combo does very well. I ended up moving to a single focus point though as it tended to struggle a bit when lens wide open. But definitely not horrible. Using a single point greatly improved auto-focusing performance.
As with other reviews on the web, I find the center focusing point the most sensitive and thus the most useful in certain situations.
Really love the WiFi feature and the amount of control from the free EOS Remote app.
In summary, I was very pleased when the 6D came out; its price was at the sweet spot I needed to move up. But as I just got my T4i a few months before the 6D was introduced, I held off to gain more experience in DSLRs first.
The T4i as with many other crop-sensor cameras are really not bad. For me though, I found that certain images I wanted to create just weren't possible (mainly due to lens not being fast enough). The faster lens I have plus the better ISO performance is giving me almost a full 7 stops to play with.
One last thing; love the quieter shutter.
Pros: wifi, -3ev sensitive center af point, quiet shutter

Best Value in a Full Frame

I was so impressed after trying this camera that I sold my 5D III to buy this and a 70D. Best camera combination I have yet to own. The image quality of the 6D at higher ISO is actually better than the 5D III, sure it lacks a few of the features, but at less than half the price, I'll take it any day. This is my go to camera for Portraits and landscape photography and I use the 70D for sports and video. Either camera makes a great backup to the other, even though neither has ever let me down.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Verified Purchase:Yes
I own two of these and I have nothing but good things to say about the 6D. I think it is the best deal in a full frame camera. I would highly recommend it.

Low Light Monster!

I've shot 5 events since Dec. and I'm very impressed with the 6D's image quality (I upgraded from the 7D). Low light performance is outstanding. I have no problem shooting 12,800. Wifi works great, but it can take a minute for my tablet to connect. It makes uploading to social sharing sites very fast. Once connected, viewing/downloading is quick. The center AF point is fantastic, but the outer points are not as reliable in low light. It can make composition more challenging in extreme low light, but it's superior to the 5D II. AI servo works fine for me in single shot for side to side action, like BMX (back button focusing is nice). I'm sure the 5D III is far superior (I don't shoot sports). Bottom line is if you are upgrading from an APS-C or shoot slow moving or static events, you'll love the images. Car shows are perfect!
Pros: Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu

what a (pleasant) surprise!

I bought this camera as an addition to my aging 5D II kit, primarily because this one had built in wi-fi. And right from the first minute with this camera, I was more than pleased - I was thrilled. For my use, architectural and studio, this combination is perfect. With clients hovering, I can manage a complete photoshoot from a 12.2 in tablet - which my clients really like. (Me too!) The color accuracy seems more accurate - and a bit more vibrant - than any previous model I've used. At this point the model is two years old so I imagine there is a Mk II coming - it will no doubt be awesome.
