Followed the installation instructions very carefully... cannot get the wireless connection to work from my laptop.

Printing photos was not easy

After setting it up which was with great ease I decided to try all the features out. The worst part was the rear feeder for photo paper, I kept getting error messages, you basically needed to jam the paper down until it grabbed the sheet. After you printed it the photo was not centered on the sheet because of the difficulty in the rear feeder. To make it worse was how can you sell a color printer with NO photo printing software for it? I had to use Picasa 3 and the photos were light and no way of making them darker. If you just want to print black and white it is great but forget it in you don't have photo printing software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy Easy Set up

I have Windows 8 - the setup for this new EPSON was a breeze. This is my second EPSON and hands down best installation process yet. Windows 8 installed basic drivers and could use immediately. WIFI setup fast and intuitive. Loaded scanner software to desktop for easy access and it worked first try. Can't comment much more on the machine until I use it more but initial impression is very positive.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Complicated

Think I need a few more lessons on using this. Having trouble printing checks particularly when there is only one check left on the sheet. Other than that it is a great machine. If anyone has the answer to this issue, let me know.

Ok, but

I like the ease of copying 1 sided to 2. The print resolution is excellent. Most of the setup instruction is clear and simple.
Two things that are bothersome: 1. Occasionally the wireless print command does not work, then a few hours later the printer prints the old command.
2. The fax gets confused when a regular phone call comes in and after talking about 20 seconds the fax signal comes on interupting the discussion, then we have to shut the WF3420 off to eliminate the fax signal to allow the call to continue.

My wife and I purchased a WF-3520 All-in-One Printer and, to date, are extremely satisfied. We purchased it for our vacation condo. I have an Epson 545 wireless Workforce at home that is wonderful. The detail and color are sharp and clear and I would highly recommend you take a look at this product when considering your next printer. They also appear durable and lasting.

I had my feelings about getting this type , I thought an Epson was good for family use but I was starting a business and need one that could handle all my work stuff.... Well I have to say this printer, scanner, fax, copier is all they say it is and more.... it has worked with all the computers wirerless and wired! It has done everything it claims and a bit more.... I love how fast it prints and the wonderful color... I am just in love with this piece of wonder.... If you are starting an office -this is for you, NO KIDDING! Its better then a printer my friends have of different brands and mine works better and smoother then their's do

Good printer, bad downloading/updating process

Basic setup went fine, and it prints great, looks fine. But for three days I've been dealing with frozen updates and installations of optional software for printing from mobile devices. The process starts, progress runs fine for a while, and then it just stops and becomes unresponsive. Can't even stop or close it. Task Manager says it's running, in fact there are five programs related to the printer running - and not finishing. For days. Restarting yields the same result.
I would recommend this to a friend!
