Disappointing

Bought this thing, worked great. When the cartridges that came with it went out (pretty quickly) I replaced them immediately with ink that I purchased when I purchased the printer.
The machine hasn't been the same since. Seems the red and black cartridges don't want to work usually. Replaced the ink for another 60 bux. Still the same problems. Head cleaning, etc has not helped one bit, in fact I went from heavy banding, to no banding and no red using the Epson troubleshooting. This printer is worthless, avoid it because it will go bad as soon as your warranty expires.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson 600=frustration

After hearing great things about Epson printers, I finally got one, albeit a cheaper model. I have had two of my 600s replaced due to clogged nozzles. This is not a machine you can use infrequently due to the nozzle clogging issue. It eats ink like crazy because you have to do a nozzle cleaning too often. I rarely use it, yet I constantly have to replace cartridges. For an inexpensive machine it is expensive to run. I won't buy another one.

Worst epson experience ever

I have been a long-time epson fan - Have had numerous "workhorse" printers for a busy home office. I have never been disappointed until this printer. From the beginning I have had issues with unrecognized printer cartridges, defective cartridges, etc. While epson support has been responsive, I live in a remote area which, until recently, did not offer a ready supplier of cartridges that would allow me to test the various issues I experience. Each time, I am forced to have no printer while I wait for answers, replacement cartridges etc. Most inconvenient and major time waster.

This printer prints fine but says that the cartridges are unrecognizable even if they are newly replaced. It is a huge waste of money and I will not be buying from this company again.

Epson XP-600

I bought this for just my photo and color printing needs. I have a printer from another company for scanning (it has an ADF) and printing e-mails, etc. I have printed only 1 picture on the Epson to test it and I was amazed at the quality of the photo from my personal library compared to the output of the other printer. This is my first Epson and I like what I see so far. I had no problem setting it up. It came highly recommended from the tech where I bought it.

So far I am happy with this purchase. I am not terribly technically inclined, and found that the setup for wireless was very simple. Print quality looks great too. Well worth the $$.

could use some more control over output

This is a GREAT printer is all you do is want a pring of a shot you took on a trip. I have used various cheaper epson models and much greater control over out put. the color matching is great, but the ink aeems to be a bit heavy-handed. great for the average consumer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exceptional Printer

This printer has done a great job so far. As a photographer, I've already printed several photos from it and they all came out very sharp on photo paper.
As for printing regularly, it's fairly quiet and very quick to shoot out the documents.
The only down side to it would be the panel on the printer. It lifts up smoothly to view, but it doesn't seem to go back down quite right. I feel like I'm going to break it every time I push it back down. I think it's a little faulty? But all of the XP-600s that I looked at seemed that way.
