Nice Printer but goes through toner like water!

Reasonable price, easy to set up but goes through toner like water. Initially, I though the toner installed in the new printer was just sample toner and the full replacement cartridges would last longer. They did not! I have to replace toner way to frequently. Not very cost effective. Going to try to return this!

will not print

I just went through the whole set up exactly according to the instructions from Epson. On the test page, the color heading came through just fine, but there is no text (black) at all. There are a few light lines of unintelligible gibberish but no words whatsoever. That was true previously when it said that it would print a report. No such thing, just a few light lines of garbage. My last Epson printer stopped working after about a year. I should have known better than to buy another one!!! Consumer Reports gave it a good rating, but they must have tested some different machines that were especially prepared for Consumer Reports. The machine should at least start out working!!!

Bad News

I am a retired systems engineer, so not technologically hindered. I found this printer to be difficult to set up (instructions were not clear), very hard on ink. It used almost one forth of the color cartridge capacity running test sheets, trying to get it to print properly. In addition, I tried to print my grandson's income tax forms to assist in getting a loan, and they were unreadable. The black text was non existent. I tried to return the printer to the well known office supply where I purchased it but found out too late that they only had a fourteen day policy on printers and I had been fighting with it for just over three weeks. I know I will not purchase from office supply company in the future and Epson printers (which I practically grew up with) have become questionable.

I haven't had a change to really try this out, but the set up was real easy. I purchased this to use with my I Pad and it was a snap. Hooked it all up and went to print , it found it , the printer, with no issues and printed out the request.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Won't print black, ran out my new ink cartridge...

I've had on and off problems with my XP-600 that I bought in March 2013. Mainly with the black ink.
Well it started acting up again, so went out and bought a new Black cartridge even though it didn't say low.
Did a nozzle check and ZERO black lines printed, did three nozzle cleaning/checks and still the same result....but now my cyan/pink/yellow cartridges need replaced again (just replaced two weeks ago) from all the cleaning.
Calling support in the morning, but I've been a lifelong Epson fan, currently own a R200, RX580 and this XP-600. Have only purchased Epson inkjets but if they don't fix this issue, which appears to be an issue for many, I may have to change allegiances.

Wish is was reliable

This printer works great WHEN it works. Unfortuantely there is some design flaw with this model and most of the reviews here touch on it. Epson replaced the printer with a refurbished one within 6 months because the black ink no longer worked. Nothing came out. Now it is beginning to send messages that it cannot "recognize" the cartridges. It uses tons of ink to try to address this issue or you have to replace a perfectly good cartridge. Epson is helpful but that will run out after a year and I need a printer I can count on. Epson needs to fix this issue.

Epson XP-600 - Don't Purchase It

I purchased this printer 16 months ago. I should have reviewed the printer after the first month since I have been frustrated since Day 1. It has never printed correctly. On a text page, half of the text is always missing. Printing any graphics is impossible. If I could have rated this printer less than 1 star (Poor), I definitely would have. Save yourself some money - don't buy it!

I have had the XP600 for one year and could have bought a new printer for what I have spent on cartridges. I'm ready to take it to the dump.
This is lightly used for home use.
