I needed a case for my external CD drive for my Mac pro. Couldn't find one that would fit as the drive is quite large and square. Was passing the isle that carried cases for cd's and decided to try out this case as it was the exact same size as the drive. The drive fit perfectly...wire and all! I did have to cut the cd sleeves out though. I won't even consider buying a new case for my drive even if there's one out there.
