This antenna was recommended by the cs rep based on my address. I'm located in northern NJ, 22 miles from the NYC transmitters. I have several large trees in the same direction that I point the antenna so that makes it more difficult. The antenna installed in my attic along with the JUICE amplifier. The JUICE helped me get solid reception. Without the JUICE the reception was not always solid. For the major networks I get solid reception on channels 2, 4 and 7. Channel 5 is pixelated, not watchable. Channels 11 and 13 get no reception at all. I was sent a channel guide of channels within range before purchase. Those 3 channels I can't get were all toward the bottom of the list.
