Unable to do most of the things a laptop can do and is the same price as a descent laptop. This product does the bare minimum.

I like it but do not love it

I bought this machine primarily to supplement my existing Windows laptop and desktop. For that it has been excellent. When I need to just browse the web I prefer it to any of my other devices (phone, tablet, laptop, PC, etc.) I can flip it open and be surfing in less time than it takes to browse on my phone. The battery lasts all morning, then I charge it at lunch and use it the rest of the day.
I love the low price. The keyboard and trackpad are much better than I expected. The screen is view-able from many angles and is anti-glare. I like the lack of a hard disk and the security of the OS. However, there are 2 significant downsides.
My main complaint is that while the physical size is okay, the 1366x768 resolution is just too low. I would have paid a little extra for a 1440x900 display. Some pages and forms just need a few more vertical pixels. The screen is wide enough, but I often need to scroll up and down much more than I would like.
The second issue is that at times it is a little under powered. When I have many tabs open or pages use a lot of flash, it tends to bog down. It could use a tiny bit more memory and CPU power.
For my purposes, it is not a substitute for a full fledged PC or laptop. There are certain things that it does not do well, but I can live with the shortcomings. The power adapter is a bit flimsy. I would have liked the ability to charge from a USB port. Additionally, the video on some websites does not play.
Overall, it was just a good value for the money. I use it much more than I thought I would when I bought it. Hopefully future models will have better displays and more memory at a still reasonable price

This has been a great product. Able to handle most task without difficulty. Excellent battery life. Compact desigh makes it very portable. Painless updates, basically transparent frequently to ensure product stays updated, just a matter of a reboot. App store has a wide variety. Boots in less than five seconds. I can not think of anything to say negative ly..

Not being good with technology I was hesitant to try something new. My Chromebook has been the best tool for me. It goes everywhere with me, is easy to transport, and easy to use anywhere.
I use it for everything and now can't imagine my life without it.

Good but Flimsy

I LOVE my chromebook, however the SD card slot and the headphone jack plastic has broken off. I am not rough with it so it disappoints me that it broke so easily. However I never notice lag, and I love the "Macbook Air design". When I bought it it was the lightest chromebook available. It is SUPER light and can be held easily with one hand (Unlike most laptops/devices). I would recommend this to anyone, especially those who use a Google Ecosystem (google docs).

I loved my Chrome Book until very soon after year one the touch pad froze (hardware problem). Still siitting on a shelf six months later.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

The Samsung Chromebook is a great size and weight. Perfect for watching netflix in bed or reading up on random junk while watching TV.
