FOR LESS THAN THE PRICE OF MOST TABLETS, I GOT THIS

I already have a nice Samsung tablet,now I have a great little laptop. Samsung got it right with this Chrome OS device. It's fast ,slim and does most of what I need to do on the web.The USB 3.0 and a HDMI ports are a nice touch.I also have a Chromebox so now I'm taking my Chrome and Samsung on the road with a very nice keyboard.LOVE IT LOVE IT!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, usb 3.0 & hdmi
Cons: needs more ram
I would recommend this to a friend!

Build quality is good, but has a few creaks and the case is very plastic and shows some scuffs. Chrome OS makes it great, keyboard is nice and track pad works great.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: slight quality issues

We bought the chrome in the UK , because it is not (yet) available in the rest of Europe. Everyone who sees this says, "I want one", When does this wonderful laptop becomes available in Europe !! We want to use this within big enterprizes /government.
We also want to use it in our own private cloud (besides the google cloud) , so load it with ubuntu 12.04 on ARM ourselves. The only thing lacking is an ARM supported smartcard reader for strong authentication .
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

I preordered the new Samsung Chromebook and it was delivered 2 days before leaving on a 7 day trip. I downloaded an ebook and read offline on the planes and throughout trip. I got free Wi-Fi connections at both airports. The 11.6" Chromebook fits on the aircraft tray table perfectly. I love the very fast start/resume/shut down. Free Wi-Fi at the resort kept me in close contact with email and wesites for election news. We watched Boardwalk Empire on HBOGO at the resort. Even though their Wi-Fi signal was weak, with limited bandwidth, the video played smoothly with only a few buffering pauses. I am looking forward to Netflix support for the ARM processor. I've been using cloud services for years and so far the new Samsung Chromebook has done everything I need or want it to. It's replacing a (relatively) heavy 15" notebook around the house and is much more convenient and comfortable on my lap. The keyboard and trackpad are the best I've ever used. So far I haven't found the need to fire up a notebook or use my home office desktop for anything. Since I have multiple Windows PCs available at home and always have a smartphone on travel, the Wi-Fi only aspect of the new Chromebook will not be an issue for me.

I've had my chromebook for about 3 weeks and love it. I've been using it at night around the house as a 2nd computer (4 kids makes time on the home computer a little tight) and it is perfect for this use. I've also used it around my office in meetings to take notes instead of in a notebook. Offline google docs works great for this. Only 4 stars on the "features" because you're really limited if offline... But this is rather infrequent so its not a big deal for me. Definitely worth a try!
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, great keyboard, solid mousepad

Excellent as cheap laptops go

I wanted a livingroom web browser, my old windows laptop is dying. The chromebook is much better, lighter, longer battery life. My only complaint so far is the touchpad doesn't do right-click very easily. I wish it had two buttons (left and right) like most pads.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, quiet
Cons: one-button touchpad

Chromebook offered no selection on language keyboard or wireless network.
There is no ethernet port or data cable for the usb port.
