poor ergonomics

problem:
a) when taking the phone out of its holster, you cannot help but hit
either of the volume or power buttons.
b) no push to talk feature.
c) far too many steps to answer an incoming call.
d) clumsy to use as a basic phone

combined with poor battery life it performs poorly in its basic function as a phone..

I enjoy my phone because it has never failed me. It is not outstanding in performance but it is super reliable. Th phone has decent security features to protect my data. It also has decent construction to withstand repeated drops from the hip without so much as a scratch.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

I tried numerous handsets, they kept rebooting. One set started the first morning of use.
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Samsung Rugby is by far the best phone that I have ever owned, I have dropped in water, ran over it with my car, and I have never put a screen saver on it there is still not one scratch on the face of the phone. I will never go with another phone besides the Samsung I've had every other phones and this by far is the best I will always stick with Samsung there is so much technology in this phone I've had it 3 months and I still haven't figured it all out it is so durable I'm very happywith this phone of course I would love an upgrade but maybe one day thank you so much Samsung for such a great phone I hope everybody else gets the chance to enjoy what I have endured

its ok kinda slow and battery life is about average i dropped it on tile from about 4 feet and a small crack is on the bottom corner from it kinda disappointed

While I love the "rugged" design and the damage proof casing, the over all performance of the Rugby Pro is lacking. Screen changes are slow and so are the home and back buttons. The main positive feature again is the casing. Not having to have a case to protect the phone is very convenient and keeps the phone from being bulky. If you are looking for protection over speed, this would be a good choice. The camera quality is poor. The waterproof charging plug cover tends to not fit quite as well after several months of use.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: slow operation
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
