Mediocre at best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After purchasing several other LG products, and a rave review by consumer reports, we purchased this dishwasher. I regret that purchase. It does a poor job of washing dishes - I generally have to rinse them before loading. Mugs (especially if they had something like hot chocolate in it) do not come clean. Food particles often remain on the silverware. And the bottom tray/drawer often comes off the runner and is challenging to get back in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes squeaky noise during the wash cycle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 18 months after the purchase, it started making squeaky noise during the wash cycle. it still washes the dishes fine, so if you don't care about the noise it makes, this may not be a bad product. However, the fact that a part broke only after 18 months shows poor quality of LG products.

Concerned about reliability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased dishwasher in fall and closed house for winter. In spring I had to replace motor fortunately III was under warranty. But service representative told me LG was no longer providing parts under warranty and service company would have to purchase part so the company was not going to service LG units in future.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Purchased 5 years ago. got extremely loud about year 4. had a burning plastic smell last week, took off front cover to find arcing.

Bought June 2020 and making loud whinning noise

love my new LG dishwasher

I read some reviews knocking this dishwasher but I have had no problems with mine. The tines stay in place if properly loaded and it cleans like a champ. I am waiting to try the half load feature. I am glad that I purchased my new LG dishwasher. Oh! it is very quiet also.
