Major disappointment

Do not buy this product. After owning it for three months, we got the error code LE and the entire motor has to be replaced. Very disappointing to own something for such a short time and have such a serious breakdown.
Pros: Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros it is very quiet, cleans well. That said,Cons: it takes over 2 hours to wash the dishes. Also I have pottery dishware, they are too wide fro the rack on the bottom. Top rack only works for mugs or low cups bowls, ,my water glasses are too tall to fit, I assumed all dishwashers had same depth for top rack NO! WHAT a let down . now i'm stuck with this stupid machine and still have to wash half my dishes. what a waist of money. What is worse when I complained at the store I BOUGHT THIS AT, THEY SAY oh WELL.
Pros: Performance, quiet
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have to use Power Wash to get dishes clean.

I am so disappointed with my dishwasher. It looks great, but glasses come out cloudy, and dishes are not clean unless I use the power wash and one pack of the hard soap and fill the remainder of the reservoir with liquid soap. And that's with a medium load.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Didn't last

This dishwasher lasted us under 6 years, and required a motor replacement halfway through that period. We finally gave up on it after needing to replace a water valve only to find it needed a new sump assembly as well. It wasn't worth for us keep repairing this thing. We shopped for a new appliance, avoiding LG after this experience.

Great dishwasher and very quite

Great dishwasher really quite, like the rack system. it sings you a nice little tune when completed, but if you don't unload right away and the power cuts off there is nothing indicating the dishes have been run the next morning?? I would think paying this much for a dishwasher that it would have an indicator light indicating the dishes are clean.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

There are a few things that I don't care for but for the most part I agree with the rest of the reviews. I don't care for the silverware baskets but I'm sure they were designed that way to give more room for plates. The soap dispenser is cheaply made (but so were the ones on all the other models we looked at). Also, I don't like how you "must" use rinse aid (which is not cheap). There is no heating element on the bottom so it uses suction and the heat of the plates to dry. It is also why you need rinse aid (but the dishes look great). There is another big benefit to this though, you can put plastic cups on the bottom and not worry about them melting.
Pros: Performance
I would recommend this to a friend!

The dishwasher is extremely easy to use and cannot be beat for its quietness. At times you have to check to see that it is actually running. The capacity is exceptional and all dishes and glassware not only are clean but shine. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an exceptional dishwasher at an affordable price.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

Extremely Quiet!

This DW is extremely quiet. It washes dishes quite well, BUT, you MUST use the Rinse Aid to get dry dishes. Without the Rinse Aid, dishes are wet at the end of the cycle. Also, the lower rack easily comes off the track so slide it SLOWLY in and out of the DW. The upper rack has a nice lowering feature; easy to use.
The wash times are LONG, so best to set it at night when you retire for the evening. We replaced a Kennmore, which we had for 13 years. The LG DW is so much quieter, huge difference. The lower rack on the Kennmore stayed on its track better than the LG.
All in all, so far we are pleased with the LG DW. REMEMBER: For truly dry dishes, use a Rinse Aid.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, quiet
