Easy to Keep Clean

After using one of this model for over six years it died (both thermal fuses went bad). Sure it makes great coffee, but I always liked it because the water reservoir is large enough to reach in with a paper towel to dry after use, which keeps it cleaner for longer. When I tried to replace it, I was disappointed that I could not find this model at the department stores as it has been replaced by a newer redesigned model (DW Series) that has more corners inside the reservoir making it virtually impossible to reach some tight places. I felt lucky to find this one at the Mr Coffee website and so bought two. I hope they last a while.

this was a replacement for an older Mr. Coffee that had worn out; this one was a little different but it works fine; we clean it every 2-4 weeks; the older 1 had a leak in the metal tubing around the hot plate (inside the bottom); thus far no problems

Two new Mr Coffees won't brew hot enough
on August 27, 2015

My wonderful 20+ year old Mr. Coffee maker died a month ago, it could make a light cup of coffee or a strong cup depending on how much coffee you used. So when it died, I bought the same model and can't get it to heat the water hot enough to brew a nice strong cup no matter how much coffee I use. The Mr. Coffee company sent me a second machine and it does the same thing. I'm so disappointed. Water is only heated to 180 degrees, proper machines should heat to 195 to 205 degrees. Don't waste your money on this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I apologize for any disappointment. Most of our coffee makers brew between 177 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit, and should make a delicious cup of coffee. We appreciate your feedback, and your comments will help us to make improvements in the future. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-672-6333. We're here for you Monday-Saturday, 9am-6pm Eastern.

I have used this model over a long period of time. I would not switch. Always works, never a problem. How simple can that be. Price is great. Pic of new coffeemaker and formerly full, now empty, first pot. Thanks Mr. C

1st one lasted less than a year. Burner plate lost its coating and it just died this morning. Would not brew, just sounded like it was finishing up brewing. Just bought another, hope it does better. (Use bottled water in machine)
