Only thing I did not like about the toaster is where the cord was located on the side of the toaster -- my kitchen is not set up to have a toaster that you have to slide out from under the counter side ways so it is not user friendly. Otherwise I do like it so far

The good news is that Best Buy took this back right away. In running it through the first cycle, as recommended by the instructions, some of the coils did not heat up the first, second or third time. So back it went. The Cuisanart that I replace it with works great.

Ok maybe not perfect because nothing is perfect but pretty close. We wanted a simple toaster that wasn't that big (because really how many bread slices do we really need to toast at the same time?) and also a toaster that wasn't that expensive. We found it with this one. It hasn't burned our bread yet so that's the most imprortnat thing. I usually set it between 2-3 and it toasts my bread slice just fine. It has a cancel button so that's a plus and it can even defrost which is great for my eggo waffles.

Good toasters are hard to find!

This is a good toaster. There is some "plastic" smell on first use, but it goes away completely by the third or fourth time. Toast comes out evenly browned, as this toaster has balanced heating coils plus the retainers come in from both sides to center the bread for toasting. Works better than many $50+ toasters, at least this one does. Biggest issue with all toasters is that they don't all work as well, even the exact same model. Hope yours works just as well as this one!

Mom gave her 4 slice toaster to the church's yard sale because it took up too much counter space. She wanted a 2 slice and this one fit the bill. It took 3 tries to not burn the toast, so unlike my toaster, this one doesn't need to be on max to warm the bread. IT will come out black and hard if you try the highest setting. Start low and work up. I used old bread to test it out and the third one was nice and golden.
