Had it a month. Only the bagel button works properly...toasts on one side. The other two buttons, toast and frozen, also only work on one side.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like this toaster. The different settings - toast, bagel, and frozen - really make a difference in how the food turns out. Toaster pastries don't get stuck in the slots - it's the first toaster we've had that hasn't had that problem! The only thing I do not like is the smell the first time or two you use it. The food doesn't taste like the smell, but it's still off-putting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

the cord is so short

i have had this toaster for awhile and tried to work it into my life, but i think it was assembled wrong as the cord comes out the front as well as the crumb tray...and when i plug it in ....the cord is so ridiculously short that all the controls are facing the wall and its too difficult to operate...so donating it ....

Great toaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I receive this Oster toaster as a sample and am pleasantly surprised at how well it works. When I received it it seemed so much lighter than my KitchenAid toaster that I thought it couldn't possibly work as well but it is just as good as the KitchenAid. It toasts very evenly and true to darkness setting for both bread and bagels. It is attractive and takes up much less space on my counter which is great since we live in an apartment. I like it so well I gave my KitchenAid toaster to my daughter and kept the Oster toaster.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped Working After A Year Of Use

As stated by the other reviewer, the handle will not stay down. It had worked fine up to that point, but a lifespan of 12 months is unacceptable.

Love my new Oster Toaster. It's reasonably-priced, lightweight, easy to use, and does a consistently great job on ANYTHING…bread, english muffins, bagels, and various rolls. Great item!

Have had this toaster for at least 5 or 6 years. Use every day. Toast is evenly toasted as long as it is set to a low setting (just under 2). Looking for a replacement because it is starting to look old.
