Great product with decent price

The filter makes water tasted much better. The price is high if you buy just one filter; however, the price of a packet of 3 is fair.
Pros: Durable
Cons: expensive

Samsung Filter fits; Other's Don't!

When our refrigerator filter light came on we shopped at home depot for a replacement. They had one, we bought it, and it leaked. No matter how tightly I cranked it.
Called Samsung, asked if they had one available, and they did. It fit and it doesn't leak. Expensive, but it fits.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this item from 2 other suppliers and they do not fit my refrigerator even though it has the same model number as the ones I have used for 10 years. I was led to believe that this problem was unheard of but I see otherwise from reviews. Very disappointed.

What a way to lose customers!

i have a seven year old samsung refrigerator. why on earth would you change the design for the water filter? i live in a city where the water is very questionable. so you're telling me that now i either have to buy a new refrigerator or go out and buy bottled water? what a total disappointment!!

i’ve purchased my 2-door refrigerator in 2015. samsung decided to change the locking key of the water filter so i cannot use them, making the water filtration useless. never buy samsung again.

Product Design Changed Without Warning

similar to others on here, i noticed the new replacement filter i bought didn't fit in the refrigerator i bought only 2 years ago. i wasted nearly $100 on replacement filters because 1) best buy doesn't do exchanges on an opened water filter and 2) i thought the first one was a manufacturing error and you can't tell until you actually open the package. so now i have a fridge that i can't use for water or ice. i just went through a chat with a service representative. they said to expect an email response within 2 business days. i expect them to send me a new refrigerator filter fitting at no cost to me to resolve this. if they do not, the 1 star rating will remain and it is doubtful i will purchase another large item appliance from samsung ever again.

Change in filter design

samsung changed the fitting at the top of the filter so it no longer fits in the housing. i tried the online chat and then called the number they suggested to speak directly to a person. the advice for making the new filter fit was inaccurate. no amount of force would work. i tried amazon and ebay hoping to find the older model to no avail. our service person said the whole housing would have to be replaced to accommodate the new filter design. no warning ahead of time from samsung about the change and no opportunity to purchase the older filter design. do to this and several other required service calls, this will be my last samsung product.

i purchased a replacement filter (da29-00003g) for my rfg298aars fridge, it doesn’t fit. why have you changed the size of the notches in the filter. what kind of quality control do you have at samsung.. apparently i am not the only one with this complaint. in other words i don’t need to send a photo, someone already has.
what are you going to do to resolve this issue.
